The Random Question Thread

So I went in today and the rattling was due to the cats hitting the upper heat shields. So I had them removed and now it sounds great, I love it. They also made 2 small custom brackets 1 for each cat and Im very happy with it now. I no longer have the vibration inside the FX or the rattling, awesome!
 
UP. so lost what length extension i need for my nismo. on the g35 forums says 6 inch here says 3. anyone can clear this up
 
If the temperature goes near 100 degrees ......... why isn't it legal to drive butt naked ????

Why don't you just buy the extension? I posted the link above. You just need one of them. I don't know the exact length. Are you ordering just a stainless steel tube then cutting to fit?

Random or not, any way I'd like to know if the upper and lower plenum can be removed as one complete piece...? Reason is, I need to replace the valve covers due to oil leaking through spark plug seals. any help is greatly appreciated...

No way. The bolts that attach the lower plenum to the intake manifold are under the upper plenum. The gasket (between upper and lower plenum) is reusable though, just be careful when separating the two halves.
 
Does anyone have a problem with the drivers seat squeaking on turns? Mine squeaks every time I take a corner and my body leans to either side. Maybe the bolts just need to be tightened but not totally sure, any help would be appreciated.

I have recently heard that squeaking and it does not sound like a side bolster rubbing. I remember when I pulled my seats many moons ago, that one of the lateral supports in the lower frame had broken. At the time I didn't have any squeaking, so I just threw some JB weld on it and reinstalled the seat. I have a feeling something is awry in the lower seat frame...
 
Does anyone know if they just sell the resonator pipe alone (I know they do) but I mean a high flow one and if so where can I get it???
