The Random Question Thread

Any recommendations on a decent power washer? My current one has a crack somewhere, so its spewing water out.

Looking for something with decent pressure to wash fences, electric powered, has wheels and preferably under $150.

Thanks :)

Aftermarket sensors definitely work with the FX. My winters are running aftermarket versions I bought off of TireRack. I called them up and they sent me the ones that I needed when I was setting up my Blizzaks.

Sweeeet! Feels good to know that I'm about to save over 85% on a product.

I ran OEM Infiniti and Oro-tek, all work fine.

The ones you are looking at are Schrader AirWave for $22.53.

There is a huge difference between the OEM Infiniti Schrader $166.21 vs. the Schrader AirWave $22.53.

One is price.

Two is one comes with part number 40700-CD001 in a nissan/infiniti bubble wrap bag.

I'm being sarcastic -- they are exactly the same, naming rights or whatever account for the insane mark-up, that's it. You're just in the know, so you can save a lot of money.

Was wondering if these wheels would be a good replacement for my OEM's ?

Lol.. don't do that. I had a depressed look on my face when I saw "there is a huge difference"
Then I became confused as I kept reading. Thanks! I'll order these today and have them installed when I get my tires rotated.

I think they would look good, I love mesh type wheels. I'm running Enkei GTC 01 Racing wheels and I really like them and my 20's only weigh 24 lbs each

Been thinking of doing my drive belts, all I have to do is loosen the 2 tensioners right?

I just had a pair of Kinetix high flow cats installed on my FX today. My question or questions are: now when I drive I feel some vibration inside the car during acceleration, is this normal now it didnt do it with the regular oe cats also I still here a rattle under the car and my Y pipe doesnt have a heat shield on it. Does anyone know what it could be??? Also now with the high flow cats when I hit the gas to go fast I feel as if the FX vibrates a little or shakes is this because the cats have to be broken in, or because the rest of my exhaust is all stock??? Last but not least the oe cats had a bracket holding the 2 of them together did this have to be mounted on the new cats (welded on) because the guy said it wasnt needed, can this be why I feel vibration inside the car now???

I felt vibrations with mine during aggressive acceleration. Not sure if they needed to be broken in because I never gave them time to do so. The raspiness got the best of me.

I also removed the heat shields above the cats to mitigate one layer of vibrations.

The cat brackets are a good thing. The vibration you feel is because, without the brackets, the exhaust system is now suspended from the exhaust manifold mounting bolts to the mid pipe support. That's the exhaust manifolds, cats, y-pipe, and about 4' of mid pipe hanging off the motor. Some HFC's come with those brackets (the Berks for example) but the Kinetix do not. I read stories of broken header bolts due to this omission. Had I kept my HFC's that was the next item on my to do list.

so I have the bracket from my oe cats I was thinking of going tomorrow and having them weld the 2 small hinge like things with the screws on them to the HFC's so I can mount the bracket. Is this what you are talking about?
