The Random Question Thread

so ive been researching on spark plugs and wanted the best for the fx. so the most popluar one is the LFR5AIX-11 Iridium IX Spark Plug??

The stock plug is the NGK Platinum. The NGK IX is the 60,000 mile variation. Both work great, but obviously you'll be changing out the IX at 60K while the Platinum last 100K.

The LFR5 is the stock heat range. Some people like the run the LFR6 which is one step colder.

I just recently changed my brakes and rotors and I was going like 80 on the highway and when I touched the brake a little the slip sign came up..now I'm like scared to go over 65 lol does anyone know whats wrong here?

^ :hmmmm: does it happened right after you change the pads and rotors? The the slip light lit up, do you feel any jerking or vibration? How does the brake paddle feels when you press on it? When was the last you had your brake fluid flushed and replaced?

Brake fluid is fine I never really flushed and changed it but yeah when the slip light came on my steering wheel was going crazy..not like out of control but shaking a lot and yeah it happened right after I changed the brakes and rotors :/ oh and the brake peddle feels fine same as before

Is your steering wheel straight? How often dose it happen? From your description, I had that happen once, but it was after I took the steering wheel off to install the Paddle Shifter and my steering wheel wasn't put back straight/level. I took the steering wheel off and re-install it as straight as possible and it never happen again. I wonder if you have a seized caliper. As you apply brake one of the caliper is not catching the rotor causing the a "slip".

Okay so I only have like two messages in my inbox and I kept getting emails saying my inbox is full please delete messages or something and I even tried sending chedman a pm about my issue but it said I reached a certain quota or something and my message could not be sent..what's going on here and is there anyway for the messages that were sent to me while my inbox was "full" to be sent to me again? Thank u guys for all your help!

Did you check your sent messages also?

If you look at the bottom of your inbox, you'll see this chart. Red=inbox, yellow=sent, green=remaning free space.

Also, Premier Members get extra space, so if your's just expired your mailbox could suddenly be full.

Wow I'm an idiot sent box had almost three pages lol thanks a lot but is there anyway for me to get the messages that were sent to me while the inbox was full?

If you don't get them now, then probably not. I'm not sure any were sent. The sender should get a notification saying that your inbox is full so they can't be sent.

Im looking for 100% flush / maybe slight poke on the rear on my stock 18 rims. Eventually might get 20's. what would i need to achieve this without rubbing? common is 25ft on 25 back i think.

If you mean spacers, 25mm all around will get you really really close to what you want.

On my phone so hard to search.

What is the tire/ fender gap when a oem tire height is dropped on H&R or Eibach?

Not the drop, but the gap.

1"? 1.5"? 2"?

Thanks.

Ha, your iForged Imola 24" setup on OEM suspension was a little more then 2 3/4" gap. I got picture to proof it :smile (2):

Perfect, then H&R gap is 1.45" then.

Hopefully 1" gap will work:). It is still better than H&R, that is what I was trying to find out.
