The Random Question Thread

So the family is growing (just have our first new born last month). And I am debating getting ... believe it or not, a minivan. Currently we have two SUVs, FX + Murano. They seem to work ok even when inlaws are in town. But that 3rd roll seat just look so useful. I thought about bigger SUV like QX80 but I like the idea of sliding door of minivan where it can be "wiiiiide" open. What are your thoughts?
* u bet I would do things to the minivan if I do get one. like bagged + rims and all. lol
I would go with Sienna or Pacifica. You can bag both :)

Yea, zebra. I am looking at Sienna real hard esp it would allow me to throw a supercharger on it (which my wife does not need to know about lol)

By the way, the spacers are still holding. Love them for sure!

I tried to modify my GF's car, but she won't allow me. She like stock too much...

Glad to hear! Enjoy!

Tires.
Its been a few years since I've bought FX tires, and unfortunately haven't been paying so much close attention lately to the current buzz. Should be time to get back in the scene...
With the famously preferred Yoko Paradas and Hankook RH06s discontinued, what are the new preferred stock 20 tires? (265/50/20)

Guys, I have LED turn signal bulbs. If I don't use the resistors and just let them rapid flash, will it damage or hurt anything? I kinda like the rapid flash just because it's something different.

I think I saw the PARADAS still being sold in some regions... Might wanna look into it... Although MICHELIN LATITUDES are kinda popular now for a touring tire... ALTHOUGH I think they're discontinuing the FX size for them in CANADA... :(

Oh, thanks. I'll look.
I hoping that a performance tread stands out with good wear life.

Not sure if there's a new 'preferred' tire. The Michelin Premier LTX (read up on wear issues) and Pirelli Scorpion Verde AS Plus (have them, like them) are two excellent tires. Or regular Scorpion Zero if you want a more performance tire. Neither are particularly easy on the wallet.

Yes! Scorpions, thank you!
Those came with my 22" rims when I bought them and I liked the rubber well enough.
These new shoes are going on the stock 20's as the regular backups and swaps as needed. So I want a good performing tire, but as backups, they don't have to be perfect perfect.

Pretty sure the Z23 kits are for the S version of the QX70 with larger AKEBONO brakes... I'm looking at a whole set of these to upgrade my 1st Gen brakes... The carbon fiber brake pads sound REALLY interesting...
Yes they do, that's exactly what I thought. Well I'm sold I'll try to get them this week or next. Thanks!

Let me know what you think over stock... I've only heard GREAT things about STOPTECH pads, but for the most part, they were too expensive for me to justify the price VS improvements compared to other options out there... But looks like their prices have come down in the last couple of years...
