Great, now I'm a bit conflicted after reading the last post on there lol. I love fish tailing the rear, but I'd assume with a rear sway bar it would be harder to do that. From the last post, the guy is stating that there's less flex, resulting in one of the rear tires to lift slightly and began fish tailing; so, I'm a bit confused now

There should be less flex, but any time you tie down the wheels more, you decrease the "independence" of the suspension, but tighten it up... If a tire lost traction from "lift" it was probably the result of uneven roads... If you've put on an STB or done any more of the GT SPEC bracing, then that should be similar to what you would experience, but out of the rear end...

From my opinion of doing this mod the fishtails are more controllable from my opinion since there's less roll in the rear. It's way more nimble in the corners I can say that forsure, I noticed that right away.

So since you already bought the sway bar links, are you gonna do the mod and get the sway bar?

Would there be a noticible difference in acceleration if you swap a FX45 rear dif on a FX35 (rwd) ?

I was curious and I found an old post that rookie had posted on another website and it got me curious to thinking of doing this. Would it be just a direct swap and that's it ? Sorry for all the questions just really wondering if anybody has done this.

I thought about it, 3:69 vs 3:35 ratio on 45's. I tried to put VLSD from G37Sport, but the axle shaft flanges were different sizes, look around my posts aren't that old.
I'm going to ride out my 100,000 warranty before I dig back in.
The fx45 won't be VLSD but its 10%?steeper, quicker(?) the VDSC seems to be what the Ingineers at Infiniti sell us, rather than limited slip differential, honestly it works pretty well, but I'm still curious as to how much better limited slip would feel.

Keep us posted if you decide to move forward on this.. I just installed a '2016 Sports Seat.
These are like Tri-5 chevys, lots of parts actually are interchangeable.

(1st Gen'ers)...
Does anyone have a parts diagram or picture of the underside of their rear bumper? Specifically the Black plastic portion below the painted bumper?
I believe it wraps around from mudflap to mudflap.
This picture kind of shows it, but not well. The black piece on the top side of this picture shows the hole I cut out when I installed the OEM tow hitch.
I'm looking for a better picture of this black lower bumper piece.
It's a separate piece than the painted bumper its attached to?
(Mine blew off on the freeway long ago... and my FX is in the shop.)

If you're talking about the textured part just under the painted part of the bumper, that's all one piece... I know cause I had my bumper replaced after getting rear-ended...

Thanks Datman. I thought there was a second black plastic undercarriage piece.

Thank you Andy! That's the exact picture I needed to clarify it perfectly! I
I know I broke my drivers side mudflap and thought that more plastic ripped off with it. Maybe I'm lucky and just need a mudflap.

What exactly is the difference between these two INFINITI parts looking for the brake hardware for the rear ale niño brakes
D408M-JL00J, And D4080-JL00A?

Hi all. Has anyone here got remote starter installed on their FX37? I just took my FX37 to the shop so remote starter can be installed. Shop had my car for 3 days now, still not finished. Does it really take that long? And does it work well?

If you are still in need of a mudflap let me know, I removed mine and are sitting in my shed (I have a 2008 FX45).

Yes! Interested!
I know that I broke the driver's side. Let me see if I can get a better look at it to see about the passenger side.

Hey porkandbeans - Send me your address via PM and I will send you the set of 4 mudflaps for free, just pay shipping. Thanks!

So the family is growing (just have our first new born last month). And I am debating getting ... believe it or not, a minivan. Currently we have two SUVs, FX + Murano. They seem to work ok even when inlaws are in town. But that 3rd roll seat just look so useful. I thought about bigger SUV like QX80 but I like the idea of sliding door of minivan where it can be "wiiiiide" open. What are your thoughts?
* u bet I would do things to the minivan if I do get one. like bagged + rims and all. lol
