The Random Question Thread

So my center console has been squeaking under the arm rest... It's really annoying and happens when I make turns (body lean)
As I was checking the armrest out and below it and wiggling it, it felt that the console was unhooked. I look to the right side.. Then confirmed with the driver side that two bolts may be missing.. Can someone tell me if they have a bolt or or screw on either side?

Bump..

There should be a phillips screw with a cap on each side. If you pop open the back console panel, you'll see that these holes should line up to a metal tab on the floor where the screws will screw in to.

Ahhh, I see. Looks like both popped off at the same time.. Which is odd. Thanks, I'll try to find a screw that fits

I've never reset my ECU only since I've never had a reason to do so. Maybe the dealer has done it for me - I don't know. Is it a good or bad idea to reset it sometime just to "freshen things up"?

Help random question

So I've owned my 2006 fx35 for 3 years but I've never looked for the spare tire location I know there's a jack and various tools check the owners manual but my trunk doesn't look the same as everyone's? Or what I see online. Any ideas? Lol
So what I see online is with just one compartment with the spare tire and sub in the middle of the tire, but in my car there 2. I have no idea where else it would be because it is not under the car and a spare for a fx is not that small.

FX's that were equipped with the run flat tire package from the factory came with the extra storage space under the cargo area and no spare tire. That is what you have apparently.

Nice pull Aiya. Never knew that was an option that changed the interior specs.

Is the engine splash shield from the 08 35 interchangeable to an 04 35? I found out they do have different part numbers. But tehy look identicle

I am finally ready to remove the cheap chrome pillar accessories that were on my fx when I bought it. Could someone please tell me the best way to remove these? I removed one and left marks on the black pillar trying to clean the adhesive off. Trying to find an easy and clean way to get these off....... FX needs to look classy now considering I have AP racing brakes sitting behind my wheels. :)

Also has anyone painted, replaced, or vinyled the door panel trim? That may be my next move after removing the chrome strips. (Besides the $1000 chrome upgrade...not interested in that at the moment...lol)

Does anyone know if the shifter knob from a 2006 m35 will work on a first gen 2003 FX35 has anyone done it and does it need any modification???
