If you put it like that we can also say they are similar with all other brands.... in stead of only producing upper...lower and rear strutbars what competitive companies do they also created tie bar and cross member brace wich they offer for many other brands.....wrx....golf....evo....hell they even made one for my wifes daihatsu (scion Bb) i have those in my hands on a daily basis....yes all look the same and mounting points are different but i think that is just because they figure out something works and stick with it on each of there application. That we might need more to strengthen up our body as much as a G/Z is bacause of the body type.... not due to the material wich is forged also.
Summit and GT-Spec just took the exact bars from the G35/350z and just modified them to work with the FX chassis. My point is that I don't think they did very much further research to see if there are other places on the FX which might benefit from more bracing.
I don't know why you are getting so defensive, we're not hating on Gt-spec or summit, I have their strut bar, and I am very happy with the product and their support of the platform.
Again the 350z and G35 have curb weights which are like 500lbs lighter than the RWD FX, add on the weight of an AWD FX and you start to understand that obviously the FX would require much more bracing that those vehicles, especially since the car sits way higher in the air, and much more weight is up high in the vehicle. Also the front suspension design on the front of the FX is very different from the G35's, and that makes it very prone to side to side movement in corners.
I have no doubt in my mind that this bar would help, how much I don't know yet, I dont have the bar yet, the only one who has it is DragonH. I'll get him in here to let us know.
