OT Hyundai Genesis

I swear if I didn't know better, I'd think Ken works for Hyundai undercover.
Possible reasons:
- He's gonna trade his FX with a Bmwyundaiexus?
- There's a hot chick in the gym that drives a Bmwyundaiexus
- Bmwyundaiexus pays a good amount of compensation for fit guys to pose in their car.. Ken's trying to justify the situation beforehand?
- He likes people/brands/cars/stuff that are positioned as underdogs but actually perform good..

Joking aside, I think it's good to see worthwhile efforts from a car manufacturer when most big brands fuck up their acknowledged products someway (09 FX front, 3 series BMW interiors, Mercedes reliability)... Still I wouldn't buy a Hyundai.

Actually, Ken's a Hyundai secret employee who lurks and joins forums all day long to research and get feedback on hyundai cars. Also, he is Korean underneath the Chinese exterior :wink::rofl::laugh:

New Hyundai Genesis Coupe

I'm not a Hyundai fan myself but I have to give them credit for really stepping up over the past 5 years and coming such a long way in a tough industry. And this new coupe should certainly provide them with a new younger/enthusiast crowd. A 2.0T and a V6 on a RWD chassis putting out 233 and 306hp respectively.

I see a lot of Nissan/Infiniti in there. That rear end is pretty awesome. Thoughts/Opinions?

That back window still looks out of place. Other than that I think Hyundai has really stepped up. Unfortunately in my mind they are still stuck in between the Big Three (Nissan, Toyota, Honda) and all the other basement econo. brands such as Kia, Dawoo, Suzuki (Cars only not motorcycles) ..etc.

I don't know, think it depends on what you are looking for. You won't find anything close to that car on the Toyota or Honda parking lots except for the S2000 which from what I remember its future is unclear.

Well when I say Honda, Toyota, Nissan, that statement also encompass Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti respectively. Many of the cars here in the USDM are rebadged versions of their Japanese counterparts, at least for most models in the past 20 years. Every car company creates a line up to fill different niches in the market place. When rating the overall quality and appeal of what each company has to offer I think you have to use an apple for apple comparision at each price point.

I think this is the design cue Infiniti should have taken the G37 coupe but Hyundai got it right! Rear reminds me a bit of the BMW 6 series.

One of the best rear ends I've seen on a car. Much better than the G37S imho.

Front 3/4 looks good too.

Stepping it up in the cabin too. Fine leather bolstered sports seats, leather trim, soft touch plastics, real aluminum, tighter gaps.
