It looks like stillen did a great job with their design. The accordion style couplers might be necessary for install and disassembly.

Primary reason I left it in there. It's a bit tricky to pull out assembly without some mobility

If one is so inclined and bored out of his mind, here's a dick who has not 1 but 2 dodge r/t's. You have to play around with the timing a bit like the other comparisons I've done in the past. I had to check the stats on the challenger r/t. Raced one today just out of the blue from a 25 mph roll to 75? He got me by 1/2 a car. I don't know the year but it was a relatively late model.
In the vid below, he does multiple runs in both cars. Not sure how accurate any of his timing equipment is but My 0-60 is in fact 0-63 on my speedo. Is his accurate? You be the judge.
I get one vid set so that the car has just started to take off, pause it then do the other. Once they're both set up, I start mine then immediately start the other. I almost always start mine first:sneaky:. Keep in mind I made the vid below prior to the extensive plenum mods.
2018 Challenger 5.1 0-60 13.5 1/4 mile, 8 speed auto, 372 hp 400 ft lbs, 4175 lbs

FX = 7+ seconds.
I'm not even sure what we're talking about here.

I've read some believe that the odd slanted upper collector (plenum) was a botched design by Nissan. I really doubt that. I think it's more along the lines of planned obsolescence, but change the obsolescence to "can't be selling no damn v8 for a premium if we make the v6 too fast".

I went back in your thread. All the videos are consistent over 7 seconds. Do you have a current video to post that is 5?

It's slanted to fit the OEM STB under the hood.

Oh, so you're doing a launch? I didnt notice that.

So that's 6.5, not 5. I get about the same

The vid's aren't for the purpose of giving times but to make good comparisons. I know what a g37x is capable of as well as a stock fx35 or these r/t's (thank you automobile catalog). Assuming me, or any of the other 3 cars I've got up as comparisons aren't going down a steep hill, and assuming a monkey is not behind the wheel in any of these vids (I don't count), then its safe to assume that the acceleration represented in these vids is very close to what one might expect given the particular car. The key for this couch racing is getting both cars at as close to an equal start as possible and then lighting both up fast. I've gotten pretty good at it. Ya'll might think this is really dumb but I get a kick out of it.

They couldn't have made a strut tower brace to wrap the top of plenum as opposed to sacrificing power for the sake of keeping the brace straight?

I think if they adjusted it so it went in front of the plenum it would lose effectiveness by being less stiff. Instead of forces being in compression through the bar now you have bending moments. I think someone made one that bends around their larger upper plenum though.

Edit: yep APS made one to go around their "tall boy" upper plenum.

I think you might be confused GTO. I might not be explaining this all too well. I'm not sure where the numbers you've got (6.5, 7) are coming from but here's a info from page 3 back last december iirc. This is when I thought I wasn't getting the right mph from the scangauge but found out later I was.

"This was in automatic. Can't hold the camera and shift and not about to tape the thing to my head. I can do a little better in manumatic mode. This is actually the first time I got on it in auto in a long time. Bout the same gas and temps a few * higher.
1st photo 1mph shy of 0-60 due to tire diameter. 2nd photo at 83, 2mph short and 3rd at 87, 2mph over as 85 = 80mph, so 10 sec 0-80.
Photo 4 is short but photo 5 is probably damn close if not over. Need to do the math but too lazy for all that. I let off at 101 and traveled 80ish feet coasting still running a 14.6. Need to get to 105-106 to = a true 100mph. Fell a little short.
I'll try again someday soon in manumatic. Get need to figure out how to hold the camera."

Here's more recent data from page 8, post all mods except for the headers.

"Same spot I got the times at last night and the prior 1/4 run. Similar ambient temps though iat's are 9* lower this time? It's good to see but no cam timing advance benefits once below mid 80's iirc. The idle is also resting at 750 whereas 687-712 was it's typical range prior to the intake, plenum and t.b. mods. I've pulled the +/- terminals on the battery so many times this past week that it might have finally settled in now. The scanguage is dogging me on the 60' times, this I know."

So, the g37x should run around a 5.5 0-60 and a 13.8 in the 1/4. The r/t should run a 5.1 0-60 and 13.5 in the 1/4. My most recent times are above. Consider this when matching the vid's above. If ya'll think my FX is rolling down a cliff to get the times above, then compare the vid's. When you see that I'm hitting 60+ at or before the 2 comparable cars, then you'll have to assume I'm rolling off a cliff in my vid as well. That last piece of absolute proof is the 1/4 mile time slip, but then again I'm sure some will say, "oh yeah, you had a 30mph wind at your back jackass" or "you had a little sneaky pete nitrous setup, dick face".
