OEM headrests and kickplates AFTER THE FACT... help ?? !!

That garage is insane. Parking spots are just crazy in Chicago. I paid $30k for one spot and it's not even deeded AND I have to pay an assessment on it monthly. Another place in Chicago, my garage was in an alley that was so narrow, it was Austin Powers 100 point move to get the car in every day.

Jon, you probably live like 10 minutes from me. This will make mini-meets easy in the summer.

Sounds like you're close to Korea town... Korean BBQ and Soju anyone?

Actually I dont think I am, I dont actually know where Korea Town is..lol. If it was close, I'm sure I would know. I put my zipcode 60625 in the thread early on, which is Lincoln Square. BUT I do love Korean BBQ, so I'm down whenever!

Post pictures or it didn't happen.

Normally I'd say F'off to this.. BUT I did state early on that I would... sooooo Off to the Garage I go :) I'll go take some pixtures and post :)

So yeah.. it really happened. :) Of course it did take me 2 'nights after work' to get it complete. But like I said, glad I did it, but boy does the install suck.

I could be wrong as I've only visited Chicago twice, but isn't Korea town within a thousand yards of Lincoln square?

Install looks terrific Jon. Congrats! I'm sure your wife is very happy!

You guys know how much I love food.....ugh you guys are gonna make me jealous again if I miss it! hehe

Thanks JD ! Yeah the wife loves it, and so do the two boys :) We have these very large TVs in our home and yet our son actually asks if he can go watch his shows in mommys car. lol.

I thought you were going to hit me up when you got to Chi Town this last time, see we could have gotten Korean BBQ. :) I havent had that since I lived in Nor Cal, so I'd like to compare and see how Chitown rates.

So far, I've been impressed with how nice the local owners are (based on their posts), I am looking forward to meeting folks.

Yeah I was hoping to, but couldn't as I ran out of time. I typically make it well known on the site when I will be in town knowing I will have time for meeting up. I'm hoping to be back in Chicago within a month. We'll see.

Loved how we took over the whole street for parking in front of the dim sum restaurant last year:

That's a good looking street. :)

Try these instructions then:

1. Go to this link:

2. Click on the blue tab that says accessory instructions on the right hand side of the page.

3. Now choose FX for your make

4. Choose 2011 for your year

5. Then click on view all accessories from that list you see

6. Then choose which instructions you want to view for which accessory from that list.

Hope that helps!!

As discussed Thanks for making this thread and posting that PDF ....ordered my headrest system (half price!) used off eBay last night.

Does anyone have a set of the headrest instructions? The download links at the beginning of this thread are no longer working, and I've got a set of OEM headrests on the way that I need to figure out how to install.

Right. So I went ahead and ordered the graphite 2011+ headrests from Infiniti of Tacoma yesterday for $1160. Note, if you have a 2009 or 2010, you can use the older model and several infiniti dealers are blowing the Java and Tan version out for $270 instead of the $1350-$1500. For the graphite needed for 2011+, Infiniti of Tacoma was far cheaper than everyone else. I did buy it from them on ebay so it might have been only one, but it came with an infiniti dealer receipt for the matching part number.

They sent an inifiniti tech document on the installation so I should be good to go.

Strange thing is I ordered them yesterday morning (friday) and they came from Washington state to nor cal overnight and delivered on Saturday even though the tracking says fedex ground. Odd.

Just installed this weekend. Unfortunately, the last step requires a Consult III or III+ and there's no way around it. Wish I'd know that before starting the install otherwise I would have just paid a dealer the hour of labor. Now they'll charge me an hour of labor for the 3 minutes it takes to do the last step. Somehow when I read the instruction, I thought the diagnostic mode you can enter without the consult III to star the process was all that was required and was instead of using the Consult, but I was wrong.

Now I'm without audio of any sort, LDW, and a bunch of other features until it can be reprogrammed by the Consult.
