New rotors and pads Install

Oh crap I just tried to change my Rotors but I could not get the damn 19mm Caliper Bracket bolts off! Holy crap those bolts are on tight! I even used a extension pipe for more leverage but it still wouldn't budge.. Did you any guys have a hard time with this also?

How many other people have changed there rotors and pads? I purchased some stopttech rotors and SS lines. Im thinking about doing the brakes myself but a little nervous of messing up. How do you bleed the brake fluid since i will be changing the brake lines?

It's not too difficult. There isn't anything crazy involved. If you are minimally equipped and fairly mechanically inclined it shouldn't be a problem. You'll need a few basic tools (a jack, stands, sockets, and a torque wrench) and a helper at some point for the bleeding (hopefully just brakes...). Definitely find a good DIY somewhere with pictures if you've never done it before.
Good luck!

It's pretty easy bro.. I would recommend for you to use a different color brake fluids so you know when the old one is all gone out of the lines..

I use ATE super blue racing brake fluid you can find it on eBay..

Does anyone know how to install the oem brake hardware kit (Clips/springs)? Or if anyone has pics of them that would be even better. It seems like with this writeup the clips and springs were never installed or was the step skipped? Thanks

I would not put grease behind a pad. they make a "glue" you can apply behind the pads.... but make sure you get a new brake hardware kit (clips/spring) with every brake job

Serious? You don't need that special square looking tool to push/screw the piston back in for our rear pistons?

that's very true...c clamp will do or you can borrow the rudimentary kit from autozone.

Q: Doesn't the bleeder valve have to be open and then press the brake pedal to bleed the system and make sure that there is no air in the lines?

bumpppp

If you just change out pads, you don't need to bleed the system.

So yeah F@#$%%^%ckk after ordering my R&P from R1 CONCEPTS and after reading this great thread I decide to do my girls FX45. Everything was going smootthhh lol I started doing the passengers side and guess whatttt happened yuppp the bottom caliper bolt snap so I called the dealer and it takes like a week to get it so I was like ok no np I'll start the other side and guess what happened yupppp bootthhhhh snap so it was already like 5:15pm and yeah they had closed already so all the excitement went down the toilet but I guess could've been alot worse lmao its gonna cost me like at leats $40 for me to replace all this bolts and pins.

and yesss I did use PB BLASTERR LMAO

Ok guys so just finish installing my R&P and after putting everything back on and going for a ride immediately i heard a rubbing noise coming from the front breaks almost like when the pads are worn out, I checked the heater shield thing and move pushed it back away from the rotor but still make that F@#$% noise. Any ideas or suggestions please thank you guys.
