New rotors and pads Install

There's plenty of room. As I recall, I had an easier time doing the back than the front. It's pretty damn ez... Just take the wheel off and you'll know

Serious? You don't need that special square looking tool to push/screw the piston back in for our rear pistons?

You can use that tool, but you don't have to. I do it with a +/-4"x2" piece of scrap plywood and a claw hammer. Place the wood over the piston and then use the claw hammer to pry against the empty half of the caliper. The piston moves slowly but it doesn't require much pressure. You can use anything you want really, there aren't any sensitive parts on the inside of the caliper and squeezing the piston back in is nothing compared to the force exerted during braking. (my point being that you aren't going to break anything.) The only reason I use the wood block is to avoid scratching the piston.

Is compressing the piston necessary, or just makes it easier to get the caliper back on? I've always just slid it back on over the pads without compressing.

When I did my front brakes, I just used the old brake pads to push the piston back in. was able to slowly push it in by hand. Not sure if its different for the rears.

And yes, as far as I know, it is necessary to compress the piston. You will ned the clearance to install the new pads.

this is awesome... always been reluctant to do it myself but with DIY like this now im confident... recommendations where i can get a piston compressor?

on the subject of squeaking/squealing brakes... i had my fronts done about 2 months now and they are still making a squeak when i brake unless i brake hard... mechanic says its normal... really? how about that "disc brake quite" application? will it work and do i have to remove the pads to apply it?

Disc brake quit goes on behind the pad and shim almost like a glue. this eliminates any noise there, but if your noise is from the pad/disc then it wont do anything. are the pads ceramic? Ceramic pads are good but make the most noise and are normal.

What are good rotor sand pads that can be installed on the FX35 to make the brakes better since not sure if to spend the money on a BBK at this time?

What brand pads does anybody suggest getting. Should I go to the dealership and get the pads or is Autozone aftermarkets good enough?

dont even bother with the autozone pads.. they suck... go OEM or try EBC green stuff brake pads im using them and they work really well i also heard that akebonos are great too..
