KIDO COILOVER STRUT BROKEN-Chedman please advise

You can't judge a company by one incident when only a few people have the product and haven't had it very long.

The biggest test here will be how Kido handles the situation.

If you read about them failing before, but still you wanted to sell them, but because it happened once here you comment that you won't sell now?

I never read about them failing or else I never would have setup a group buy nor put it on my car. I'm pretty particular about what goes on my car and the safety of my family.

Please do share links so others are aware and can read for themselves, I believe in full transparency.

Desilva can you post some photos for us so we can see what happened? I'm pretty sure I can get mailed to your house new replacements and also talk to their engineers what happened.

Andy, did they look any different from BC?

Anything noticeable except the damper button on the rear?

I really can't remember how the BC bottom of the shock dampener look anymore. Can't remember is the BC was welded not not. Sorry.

I meant someone less busy than turbocad so my raging curiosity can be satisfied.
.
It does look like a pressed/glued connection...

That little circle part attaching to the shock?

So I just need Kido to weld that?

I don't know, man. I was just wondering if it was really glued. It *looks* like it is, but you'd have to ask them to be sure. I wouldn't dare redesign their ish on the fly like that.

Desilva's installation is pretty unique. Its probably a one time deal. Either that or all group buys initiated by FX45 owners are cursed by Persephone herself... :p

Here is the bottom of the rear dampener without the screw on bottom cup.

Looks like it pressed in to the body.

It's given that the member organize the group buy is not responsible for the mishaps. A warranty claim to the vendor should be made by himself once he got a hold of the contact.

I did not feel that DESILVAFX35 pointing finger at anyone. He started the post by asking for advise from Ed.

DESILVAFX35, we all very interested to see pictures of the broken rear dampener, please post up when you have them.
