Jumbo's Silver FX - 2nd custom build

Those kind of bling are good bling. Wonder why not clean up all the weld joints before chrome.

I gues strength would win in this discussion compared to estatics.

Man i hope i would be able to hit the west coast or vegas next year. Would really want to meet up with y'all. I still have the menu of the sushi restaurant on my phone LOL. Brad your going great buddy. Looking amazing. I know what a hassle it is to only polish that turbo housing slightly even worse making it chrome ready......damn..!! Ps: did you chance in cell ?? I recently tried to wassup you.

Next year for sure.
I kinda gave up SEMA for the track this year. Hadnt missed in 10 shows until now.
Tailgating in the lot with tequila, falling asleep at a Wynn slot machine . . wide awake at Bellagio, half baked at Ballys :)

The improvement extends to the fabricator as well. Since the first build, Powerfab grabbed a guy from Hennessy. This was part of why I was comfortable explaining the presentation and routing I was looking for, then leaving it to them.

The insides were smoothed down after each weld as required. Talking to them about it, there were not many touch-ups required in the inside. Have not seen first hand.

I don't mind the welds at all. If I wanted them removed I would have asked.

Trying to post all this from my phone... Hope it works.upede3ut.jpg7ysabu6e.jpgvume3anu.jpgsygu3uqe.jpg3esu5usa.jpgune2y9y6.jpgyzamatys.jpg

Gunmetal ceramic coating on all the hot side parts, as well as both the upper and lower plenums.

The built motor has been cleaned up and transplant under way. New motor mounts, fuel system in work!

It worked...:good:

And it looks awesome, but I thought you were going all polished on the hot side?

Nope all polished on the cold side (turbo through throttle body). Hot side (headers through turbo & down pipe) gets the gunmetal. The only exception to that is the gunmetal plenum.

Ahh thats right, I saw the plenum and got confused.

Can't wait to see the engine bay completed.

BTW a little OT but you had used a tekcable of some sort (it had a name like that) for some of the items in the engine bay. Can you give me the link or name to that stuff again?

They just sent a couple more!!!

Happy new year all!

I got to visit my FX in Houston over the holidays. Unfortunately she was not driveable yet... a few fittings and electrical connectors didn't come before the holidays. No biggie though - I plan to be back in Houston in March for a wedding and I believe I'll take delivery then. For now I'm happy with the fact that I got to take my own photos, talk with the guys, stand around the car and ask questions. I love it so far - certain things came out even better than I expected.

Sorry a couple of the photos are blurry.

Nice looking beast. Love those engine bay photos. Nothing can compare to get taking your own pictures and not to mention touching. :good:

Looks amazing john. I see the carbon shaft is in as well you didn't use any engine cover didn't you ?? I know you coated the intake as well but can't stop thinking how it would look like with a performance intake. I believe that realy would set your engine bay off....!! Don't get me wrong here...... ;-) just want to stay critical at each level and yours is way out there :-)
