thanks for the info. I called them up and they are going to charge me $125 to lower it. I have an appointment for tomorrow after work.

I owe you. You saved me $75.00.

He told me once I get it lowered to drive it for 2 weeks and then get the allignment.

Yeah, I was surprised also when he told me $125.00. I asked him to repeat the price again. lol

As for the mpg's I agree with you Mongolian. I was getting about 19-20pmg on the highway going to AZ. I got about 400 miles to my tank.

the right decent price for this should be around $75 per strut in the front & around $50-$75 for both rears, so $200-$225 or so all around.

now the same way no one would want to pay more than they have to, I'd also be a little cautious of a guy that's way too cheap. I wouldn't want a low wage flunky working on my ride, even if he makes a small mistake it could be more headaches than the few bucks you save are worth.

not saying anything bad about the shop here with the low price, couldn't possibly because I don't know them, but just mentioning that as a rule of thumb, too cheap usually indicates low wage labor & low wage labor usualy translates to less experienced & skilled. any little problem, from a scratched wheel to a scratched fender to a stripped bolt to whatever, wouldn't be worth the savings.

now if you found a shop that has skilled labor & does good work at that kind of a price you found a needle in the proverbial haystackgood luck with it...

I know where you guys are coming from but looks like they have a lot of experience. They are not a small shop. I passed by there today to check out the shop and it looks good. They had a really nice wide body Toyota Avalon there. I'll check it out tomorrow and let you guys know. They look legit.

Ok guys, so I finally got my H&R springs installed.

Overall a very good experience with Street Image. They have a nice shop and their main customer is Toyota (Corporate). They modify all the cars for Toyota for car shows and photo shoots.

They started on my car at 3:42pm and finished at 4:40pm. They had 4 guys working on it and got it out in no time. If you want the info for the shop, then send me a PM.

Overall, I am very happy with the ride I got. Very smooth and I do like it better than the stock ride.

BTW, I think I'm going to end up getting some 15mm spacers. You guys were right.

I'd be careful taking the FX there - the last time a member took the FX there it got vandalized badly.

Seems like they're still up there or maybe it's just the camera angle. Also, wouldn't 15mm spacers bring you to far out? The rear shot looks like you're going to rub if you install 15mm spacers.

Looks really good tho, it gave a more aggressive stance .. Plus the lip on those wheels are SICK!!!

Thanks. Total install price was $125.00. Springs were $245.00. Wow, LMS wanted to charge me $380 to install the springs.

Yeah, I know. I hope they settle more. Those pics were taken like 30 min. after they were installed. Eric told me that 15mm spacers would do the job. Guess I need some more research. Don't know too much about that.

Nah man .. that aint bad @ all, it just means you own an FX ... :bigsmile: .. it's been a year and change since I got mines and I still do the same.
