for those of us who are mechanically inclined, but maybe not so much automobile inclined, can you maybe point out in the picture which washers you are talking about?

No problem.

Both bars are attached to the sub-frame at alignment points.

The bolts have cam washers in place for adjusting the alignment specs. To put the bars on you have to take the nut off, the cam washer may or may not move when you loosen the nut but will more than likely move when you go to tighten the nut back down with the bars in place.

Mark the cam washers position in the keyed area before loosening the nut, this is just a precaution, and I'm not trying to scare anyone from doing the install yourself.

It may work without jacking it up. Jacking one side up will probably make it harder with a rear sway in place. It will load the sway bar and that may make it more difficult.

Either up in the air on ramps or jack stands or at an even height to both corners should work.

Just a quick update for everyone.

We just did a check on inventory this weekend and we have one rear lateral brace, two lower tie braces and six front strut braces remaining. The owner of our shop has decided to hold off on selling the last rear lateral brace, one lower tie brace and one front strut brace until we have confirmed that everyone who has purchased one so far has received theirs damage free. I am sure everyone can understand the thought process behind this decision. If we find out that all the packages arrived at their destinations safely we will post up that the last pieces are available.

So as of right now we have one lower tie brace and 5 front strut tower braces available for purchase. I spoke to GTSPEC five minutes ago and they expect more braces in a month.
