gto's FX :: 2005 FX 35 RWD SPRT

Geez. Just took notice. Even with the gap, rear fender trim taking the toll. Rub rub and melted plastic. Poor tires ;)

Will a firmer setting help at all until I get rolled?

I just cruised around 8 from hard rear, 6 front. Bit too bouncy though. I need to dial back. But I can see these just rocking on the track at hard setting. These coils are crazy good

Upping the damping will help a little since the damping knob on BC controls compression and rebound. By upping compression damping, it will help with the rubbing. But your rebound damping will be really slow so if you hit a washboard or bad road, it will feel like your on wagon wheels. I had my damping maxed out for a while before I got higher rate springs. The ride was horrendous.

A little wet out, but still amazing drive today
Ended up at C & C. Nissan was the special for the day. Parked with Jumbo & some 510's

Fx stuck so good today. Wet and dry conditions. I left tc on and still barely touched it. It has gotten so non evasive with the new setup. Also kept up just fine with 2014 911 gt3, Turbo and m3 . I'm really happy

Good value Japanese tire & so far no complaints & a nice step up from all-season rubber. Better grip & really shine in wet weather. Feedback is for mild to hot conditions.
Have stayed in balance & still quiet as new. 3 Trackdays & I would say about 1/4-1/3 tread used up. They get sticky when hot & give decent feedback. As a negative, I feel they're slightly numb, but the grip is there & if you go too hard on them, they will give some audible feedback as they slide out. Probably a good compromise for a luxury/sport car. Also More difficult to get the back-end loose from standstill. They have more bite than any tires I've had prior to these on the FX.
Would love to try those new EVO tires, but they dont make my size yet.

I would ride these again

Quick question do you still use the project mu brake pads? I'm going to switch my fx35 brakes to the akebono brakes and I'm going to have to change to bigger rotors but also trying to find a good set of pads to go with the akebono brakes.

Yes. up front. Super pads with no fade. Good bite when cold too.
I have Hawk 5.0 on rears, stock size.

Ok thanks for the quick response, other question which might be dumb but why two different types for front and back?

No reason other than what was available in a hurry for the rear. Mixing is fine as long as they are the same on each axle. Just my opinion

Rescheduled for Mid November. He had to cancel with us for an NBC commitment that came up.
