that sharp cutoff gives it a wider spread and center has hints of blue.
 
Can't wait to pick the fx-r up from you. The pictures look great. Hopefully next week ill drop by on my way home from work? Ill bring the goodie also.

I tried my fat hands thru the tight spot and decided to remove the air filter plastics. Want to ensure the bulb and ignitor sits properly. Besides, GF was vacuuming the floor so I had time to kill.

morimoto 35w 5000k (fx-r) with 3000k h8 fogs, from ~6ft distance (with and without fogs), then ~15ft distance. only droid pics.
fog needs some adjustments.

Looks really nice! Now, you did not touch the metal shield behind the lens right? When I swapped my lens, I completely removed it and now I think that's the reason I'm not getting the really sharp blue cutoff line in your pics and a few others I've seen on IS.
 
Is the cutoff line ( the 45% angle part) suppose to be both in the same spot for both headlights or apart?

My inner shields behind the FX-R lens are untouched. The blue cutoff appears more with 5000k than OEM bulbs. I merely just want more PURE WHITE out of them, guess I might have to let the 5000k bulbs burn in...

Are you questioning of them being on the same height level or in STEP levels? I ran the previous setup as "STEP" leveling and the passenger side is a bit higher, these latest pics are somewhat at equal levels (will have to measure at an even parking spot).
 
Very nice cut off man. I want to do the clear lens mod but I'm too chicken to open up headlights. And I'm scared it might mess up the AFS feature :sluggish:

Back to the cutoff, I think gen2 headlights uses the same 2.5 projector. Fun project if you know what needs to be done.

Sorry cut off is important but can we revisit your picture Soon? Two questions: 1. What is your diet, you look fantastic. 2. Why do you wear briefs in the gym?

answers (on club21 prez's behalf):

1 - his diet is chicken with black beans. any sort of beer to wash it down.
2 - he wear briefs so he can crack wind in a jiffy.
