Sorry to hear this. Soonster is right just turn it in to your insurance and let their lawyers deal with it. Not sure about your state but here in California you have the right to take your car to the repair shop of your choice. Some insurance company's offer incentives if you use their approved repair shops like offering a lifetime guarantee on body work and paint.Ouch, if this falls into the "he said /she said" accident. You might have to get this repaired under your own insurance first. And then the insurance companies will battle it out. At least no one got hurt, good luck with the repairs.
I have a question will my insurance go up if their insurance refuses to pay for it and my insurance has to end up covering it.
By the way what do bodyshops mean when they say "we work with your insurance company"??? Everytime I've ever been into an accident I take it to the insurance adjuster which in her case is Geico and they give me an estimate of what they think it should cost to repair it then they give me a check.
I thought that's the bodyshops job to give an estimate.
