Gas Mileage on FXs

I get anywhere from 17-24mpg, mostly highway driving...depending on how I behave.

Mixed driving of city and highway I'll be in the mid to high teens UGH whereas doing just highway I've gotten 24 mpg YAY :smile (2):

Just curious to know how many mpg's people are getting out of their fx's. I think I might be getting something like 14 which as bad is it sounds isnt close to as bad as the Tahoe I had which was giving me single digits!

I get 17-22

Just got back from a 350 mile trip, averaged 25.1mpg,cruise was set at 80, had a good tailwind of 15-20mph. On the way up there I only got 21.4mpg, no wind.

FX50 Gas Mileage

So I went on a road trip from Houston, TX to Tulsa, OK a couple weekends ago and was very pleasently surprised by my gas mileage. I was getting 21mpg on the turnpikein Oklahoma doing 85.

Averaged 25 on the whole trip. It was glorious.

What are y'alls experiences with the 50?

I guess im getting good gas mileage, the trip computer i think it reads on average between city and highway, and its says 14.9

I was expecting the mileage on the FX to be much better than my Range Rover HSE but I'm pretty disappointed. I get about 15mpg on both right now and I'm not heavy footed

That's the nature of driving a two and a half ton AWD vehicle. :sluggish:

Especially one that elicits a touch of WOT once in a while.

I heard using your tape deck overrides the ECUs tuning, setting it for ultra superconservative. Since anyone actually using the tape deck has got to be an old man/woman, Infiniti had the forethought of putting this feature into the earlier years so old people do not drive the FX too fast. What you might not now, is that there's a sensor in the FX making sure your wife's hair is of the correct color of blue......
