Gas Mileage on FXs

overall the FX35 give outstanding milage for a SUV.. it all depend on how you drive it. i can get 17-19mpg in the city and 23-25mpg on the Hightway.. the only thing is, It take the fun out of the FX in order to get such milages.. ... so most of the time i get lower milage than that cause im sprinting everywhere but i love it!!

The FX35 is at 43k miles and all stock. Its getting roughly 17-18mpg according to the trip computer in everyday driving (mostly city). Although after one trip on the interstate, the trip computer indicated 24mpg by the time we reached our destination.

When I first had the car I had around 18MPG but after I installed a plenum spacer and had it chiptuned, the screen showed between 11 and 14. Acc to the dealer, there is no problem with the car but also they cannot explain this change. The strange thing is that my Iphone app (Iphone connected to the ODB) shows much better values. I am more or less used to it by now but it is still strange.

I have an 04 FX45 and can get 22-24 on the highway if I use the intelligent cruise control set to 65mph. I get around 18-19 driving over 65mph. In the city I can get over 17 mpg if I do not punch it from stop to stop light, if i do I get around 14-15 mpg. I do use Royal Purple oil and Denso's Power iridium plugs. With stock oil and plugs, I was getting about 2-3 mpg less in the city and on the highway.

Has anyone seen a big difference in gas mileage between 18-21 inch rims/weight/diameter/etc? Thinking about getting 15'' rims. No, I'm kidding.

80% highway over 700 miles, car says 20.4.

But I don't know how much I can trust that since that "miles until empty" counter doesn't ring true. I filled the tank (24 gallons, right?) and it said 399 miles to empty. 200 miles later, 95% highway, it said 199 miles to empty. 399 / 24 does not equal 199 / 14.5, so I just don't trust the car's math.

im about 19.2 which is an increase from where i was before my H&R springs. Does lowering allow for a significant MPG increase? Anyone else pay much attention to it?

Are you sure your gas mileage increase? Most us would see a decrease cause we tend to stomp on the pedal more with the sport spring. No seriously, I have no real data since I install mine as soon as I got the car because the suspension was so bad then.

assuming the gauge in the trip settings is accurate (or at least consistent) then i think the H&R springs have allowed for a little better gas milage?

How many MPG are you getting?

Just curious to know how many mpg's people are getting out of their fx's. I think I might be getting something like 14 which as bad is it sounds isnt close to as bad as the Tahoe I had which was giving me single digits!

I get 14.5-15 all the time mix of city n highway.... 05 with 55k miles
When i do straight highway 19-20
Only local? Forget about it t t
