I am livid. Some asshole busted my left new custom taillight. There's a scratch above the light, and the housing itself is cracked in two places. And now it is full of moisture. Some people are such idiots. First the broken coilover, and now this. Wonderful.

UPDATE
Alright dudes. Giving some attention to my FX... it's long overdue.
- I repaired my broken custom taillight yesterday, so they are back in the car now. I'll either have a custom set of inners made to match (black painted housing with white border), or just have my current reverse light housings painted ivory pearl along the edge to match the outers.
- I need to finish my custom headlight project (so I can get that giant box out of my life haha).
- I can hear air coming through my rear window seal, so I'm having a mobile auto glass place come out and reseal the window today while I'm at work.
- I'm taking the FX to Infiniti of Escondido tomorrow morning and leaving it for the day (taking a courtesy car). They're gonna inspect everything, as I'm at 85,000 and wanna make sure everything looks good. There's a rattling sound under the hood when I accelerate, so they'll be diagnosing/fixing that.
- I still need to have my black Invidia exhaust tips welded on.
- My coilover is apparently not broken... but the shock is shot. There's a company here in SD that builds custom suspension. My body shop suggested going there and having it rebuilt.
- I still have a few exterior paint mods to be done: grill painted gloss black with ivory pearl emblem, lower chrome trim pieces (front and sides) painted ivory pearl to blend with the car, and fog light housings spray tinted.
- Last but certainly not least, the roof rack. I went to my body guy yesterday and we talked for a long time about what to do with it. A few of my favorite cars are the A7, Panamera, Evoque, and CLS. I think the reason I like all of these is because they all slope downward toward the back. I have disliked FXs without racks from the beginning of time, but I think I can achieve this slope by taking the rack off... so this is the route I'll be going. I think the top of my FX painted black along with the fact that it's super low could make for a really cool look... just very different from what it is now. I want to do it right though, so I will be replacing the gutters on the roof altogether (mine are a little bit ripply). Was there ever a model FX that didn't have holes in the gutter for the roof rails? If so, I want those gutters. Without the rack though, the unicorn antenna definitely needs to go (or find something smaller to replace it with), so I need to figure that out too. So much to think about.

Wow, pretty big list Brennan. As far as antenna take a look at my garage, I have a "carbon" short antenna from eBay. I paid like $7 for it.

I removed my front antenna when I got my car wrapped and never replaced it.
The hole underneath it is very small (like 1/2" by 1/2"). The guys over at Wrap-Workz who did the work simply wrapped over it and didn't cut a hole. I came back later dropped the headliner and slightly JB-welded a small piece of metal underneath the wrap. There is a small indentation but with the black roof and the location, and the tiny size nobody will ever be able to tell.
The other option is to try and find a rubber grommet like this to plug the hole:
I have been looking but havn't found anything that will fit perfectly. Will keep you updated if I do, maybe I can buy them in bulk or find a company to make something and just sell it to members. I don't know I'll start researching further.

Oh as a warning, my FM radio sounds okay still in the city (i'm sure my range has probably suffered though), but my AM radio is almost altogether gone. The solution to this (and hopefully logan can chime in) is to get a booster. I think he snagged one for the surfer, or atleast there was a discussion on it.

Dropped my FX off two days ago at Infiniti. Getting very frustrated. Have left at least 5 voicemails trying to find out the current status of my car, and nobody is calling me back. And I was given attitude when I brought this up to the front desk woman. Hoping to hear back today.
They gave me an M37 courtesy car. It only has 1000 miles, and it's awesome.

Got my FX back yesterday. Infiniti did the following:
- brake inspection
- adjust tire pressure
- oil and filter change
- replaced driver's side fog lamp
- 27 multi-point inspection
- coolant exchange
- replaced rear differential oil
- brake fluid exchange
- power steering fluid exchange
- transmission fluid exchange
- brake inspection

Took the cross bars off my roof yesterday. Already looks better with the glossy black roof showing more. Anybody know where to buy new gutters (that line the roof under the roof rails)? Mine are ripply looking and I want new ones, as I'll be taking the rails off. A set that doesn't have holes for roof rails would be nice lol.
