You beat me to it! I was planning on doing this in the spring! They look great and I cant wait to see them put together!

Thanks! Well then you'll get to see what they look like before you do yours! I got tired of having this huge headlight box floating around my home, so it was definitely time to get it done. Gonna have my black Invidia tips welded on soon too, cuz that box is getting on my nerves too haha.

Okay. So I'm gonna have the inside and outside of the lenses buffed and clear coated to get rid of all the swirls. The body shop wanted me to try to get the adhesive off the lenses first. I spent the past hour and a half with a hair dryer and flat-head screwdriver scraping it off, but this stuff is intense. Tried Goof Off and it didn't do anything. Any ideas? Dropping the lenses off tomorrow, so I need to do this today. I might just have to have them tape off the glue area before clear-coating, because this is crazy.

If goof off didnt work try swinging by any car dealership and ask them for some adhesive remover. Its usually just a more concentrated version of goof off.

They make goof off really diluted so it can be used on anything. The more potent stuff car dealerships use should cut throught it a little better.

Usually the detailers at any dealership use adhesive remover. Just ask them for a small bottle.

Soooooo I got all of the parts for my headlights back. They are gonna look amazing. I put them back together tonight, but am paranoid about the adhesive not sealing it all the way. I did use butyl tape though, so I'm hoping they're sealed.

Haha. They're almost done. I'm having the outside buffed/clear-coated soon... so I'll post pics after that. Those pics will also have a gloss black grill with ivory pearl emblem. Then all lower chrome trim pieces will be done ivory pearl too... officially no more chrome after that :)

Okay... I can't help but to give a sneak preview. The outsides of the lenses are covered in grime/dirt right now because they haven't been cleaned/buffed/clear-coated yet, but you get the picture.

I'm pretty excited to get them installed. Not sure when I'll have time to leave my car for a day at the body shop to have the other work done though. Hopefully soon.

Parked next to an IP. And no... my headlights are not installed yet... lol
