Is there modification required to clear the GT-Spec rear lateral? Can someone with the setup chime in?:.smile:

I ordered the rear gtspec setup in the GB, so when they arrive i'll let you guys know how it goes. Stu and I were going to meet up to compare the rear braces, but never got around too it.
good idea djpathfinder i will meet up someone has nismo exhaust race with me.
Let's see with one is faster.
Hey Gordon,
Will you PM me plz regarding an Invidia cat-back exhaust for my 2006 FX45? I tried to PM you, but it told me I don't have enough posts yet....denied! lol
Thx,
Dr.Ford
I will take a guess that you need stiffer exhaust hangers (either NISMO or polyurethane aftermarket) or you need an extra hanger above the W-brace near the middle of the car that is for side impact.
Get the car on a lift or go underneath if you can fit (Rhino ramps), and bang on your exhaust while cold and see if it's hitting anything. Work your way from the cats down to the rear section exhaust.
This occurs in the NISMO exhaust due to the extra weight of the G35 extension and sometimes it happens on the HKS mid-pipe due to not a 100% perfect bend over the W-brace.
I put on a stiffer hanger and no extra hangers and it solved the problem.
Then again, it could be something else, but worth a shot.
I thing I have this issue will any Muffler shop have stiffer hangers? If not any where I can buy it locally, and what size? ex.
