FX Rear toe and camber kits.

Update

Just orderd mine from TH Performance, cost of all the kits and including shipping came out to $114. not exspensive at all, just to be on the safe side. The 72265 is a recent addition to SPC inventory so TH Performance had to call them directly to get this part# cuz it was listed wen i placed my order. After i get them installed, i will post my specs... Thanks Rookie for all the info on this!

I have a question about the extended bolts. I have it very clear in my mind that you need:

72055 for the bolt/washer/nut to add extra adjustment on the rear toe

72055 for the washer/nut
72265 for the bolt to add extra adjustment on the rear camber

Only problem is, when I read through 72265 it says that they recommend a rotary file set for making adjustments... does this mean it's not a completely bolt-on kit?

Adjustment slots will need to be elongated using the 85125 rotary file set or equivalent.

I listed that extra part number based on a G35 with Rear Active Steer since they have had exhaust and now toe/camber bolt issues since apparently their rear sub frame is different from the regular ones.

To install the camber and toe bolts, the holes have to be elongated anyways. The longer bolts are just for frame thickness.

So I assume it might come with instructions on how much to shave down? I just don't wanna spend a good $40+ on a kit that I end up ruining :embarrassed:

This camber kit thing is kickin my butt. Maybe in the near future when I have it all straightened out I'll order like 10 of these rear kits and make them ready to install so others don't have to go through such a hassle.

Anybody have trouble ordering these? It always returns my cards as invalid. I tried e-mailing them and the e-mail address supplied doesn't work, returned as not valid.

What I think is happening is the form keeps trying to submit my card with an expiration date as 2007 for the year, but uses the correct month. After it says invalid, I re-type the entire card number in again, double check the month is still correct, and then I have to change the drop-down box from 2007 back over to 2010. If I try re-submitting, it gives the same error and I look back to the card information and the month stays correct but the year reverts to 2007.

Any other site I can order these from?

I would try clearing your browers cookies and history, then try again...

Tried that, didn't work. I'll call THM in an hour or so when they're open.

Problem is, I get home from a 12 hour shift at 7:30 am, Eastern time... doesn't exactly coincide with hours of operation for most businesses :(

Edit: gave THM a call and it just rang and rang and eventually went to voicemail... going to bed now :(

I finally went in for an oil change and got the bolt kits installed for the alignment. This is what my tech told me, the rear are fine and u dont need any aftermarket bolts to get them within specs, the front on the other hand you will need 2 boxes of SPC part #81260 to help adjust the front. One box per side. Those bolts are smaller in thickness and allow for more adjustment so the tech can align the front. Thats mine findings and hope it helps...

I kinda have been tellin everyone you don't really need these unless you're really dropped.

lol Viet, unless you know of anyone else that have bags I don't think anyone on this board qualifies for that "really dropped" category.:laugh:

Some day someone may make an adjustable set up for us.

And with the pics and info posted, everyone learned something about their suspension.

Did the Eibach kit today. Turns out the rear camber was out of spec after installation. I thought that would mean I'd need the alignmnet kit as you guys are discussing in this thread, but the guy at the shop said they would just slot the holes and make it fit - which they did. And it's great. Never saw any mention of going this route here - instead of the kit. Any reason?

Alignment numbers-
Left Rear Camber Before: -2.0, After: -1.2
Left Rear Toe Before: -0.13, After 0.23

Right rear Camber Before: -1.8, After: -0.6
Right rear Toe Before: -0.08, After: 0.13

having the camber off by too much causes the inside edges of the tire to wear quickly. You could do it, but probably not worth the long term cost...

what i heard is negative camber means more grip is that true?

i want to go negative
but dont know how
any inputs?
i am lowerd on eibachs
but waht i need to go LOWER?!?!
