Can anyone chime in to help me? I got these scratches on my hood from parking in the city. It looks like someone was trying to load something in their car and hit my hood.

The biggest scratch you see there is about a DIME diameter and is also the deepest.

Can the Dr get this less noticeable ?

Dr Chip is perfect for road rash kind of paint chip or scratches that are more if a hairline. I had one similar to yours on my tailgate the thing with Dr is that it will take you probably 2 or 3 tries just to fill in the missing piece of paint and yours looks deep too. It will definitely be less noticeable but in some angles and up close you will see it. It won't be perfect but better than having a scratch. Overall I'm happy with how it works.
Hope that helps.

Maybe I can try it to see how much can it hide. maybe 3 coats of the Dr will be less noticeable. How many coats can i get from the $39 package?

More than a dozen. The kit will last you a long time even the small $39 kit.

Oh yeah word of advice. You have a metallic color which will make the chip still noticeable a little when you fill it in.

Thanks for the tip! I have a couple of chips on the pilar on the side of the windshield, and will give this a try. I also had my battery replaced this winter, and now that it's spring the other day I noticed a scratch on my front passenger side bumper which wasn't there before. It has to have been from when the dealer replaced my battery, I'm very anal about my car and this scratch wasn't there before. Strange coincidence it's right on the part of the car where they'd be working on when replacing the battery. It's a very fine scratch, you can see the white line. It feels like it's not just a surface scratch, but I can't tell how deep it is (if it is down to the primer or not).

I'll bring it up to the dealer and see what they say, considering it was 4 months ago I changed the battery and I just noticed it now, they might not do anything. But if I can get them to knock $50 off my next invoice, then I'd be happy as I could just buy the Dr Colorchip thing and try it out. Even if I had to go over it like 3 times, it would look better then having that white line jump out at you on a black car.

so i just ordered the $39 kit. should be here next week. when i get a chance in warm weather, i'll post after pics. hope it hides it really good
