deciding what to get next

JB...Why is your exhaust soooo low?? Is it just the angle of the pics? It looks like it needs to be raised up about 1" - 1.5"....

not sure why its like that...
could be because I bought it used and it had to have a tailpipe redone, a hanger broke and had to be rewelded, so it threw everything off. it's the ugliest nismo ever, from the crookedness to the rust..... once I start working in the summer again might actually buy a brand new Nismo or get all the piping redone in stainless so it looks nice... (i should have bought a new one in the beginning) lol but yeah, not sure why it ended up like that

It's at the angle it's welded on it. Every FX chop job on Nismo let's you customize the gap & extension. I agree, it's a bit low, but that's the way the shop welded it.

Oh yeah, the plastic one. Has never had good reviews - I'm interested to hear how it feels on the FX...

Would DEFINITELY paint that green monster.

plastic? I wouldnt get that.
plus it's ugly haha I would want one that t least looks good...
unless the gains are so awesome that it doesn't matter if it were made of wood

just read the site:

"This plenum increases the volume to the middle and more importantly the front cylinders. The factory plenum utilizes a very aggressive angle as it caps off the front cylinders. This new plenum equalizes the flow to all cylinders, while also increasing the total plenum volume. This plenum also uses a very versatile plastic to achieve a smooth interior for superior flow properties. The plastic also allows a lighter overall weight, by about 3 lbs. The overall temperatures of the plenum have also decreased by about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This helps with heat soak problems and to help lower air intake temperatures.

Our plenum has shown a solid peak gain of 14 rwhp and a consistent gain throughout the RPM range. When matched up with our high flow cats, they together have shown peak gains of 20 rwhp
."

I like how the last part sounds

I have it and its not "Plastic" its a composite that feels really high quality and it looks really good. I have the newest version that has had any known issue taken care of so it is a good mod for the money with good gains but it would be best to get if you didnt already have a spacer pretty much does the same thing. ( except prevent heat soak b/c of its material) It also cant be combined with spacer/would cause way to much volume within the pleum/intake manifold you would just lose hp

composites are great for intakes, a lot of OE manufacturers are going that way over aluminum, even the new HR motor uses a "plastic" composite intake from the factory... but yeah, not the prettiest thing either on the HR...
