my opinion, I hope you don't make a big ass mess out of it
bro, all the plastics your planning to paint around the engine compartment are very difficult & need the right materials & methods to pull off without looking like some kid with too much time on his hands just grabbed a can of spraypaint & went off... especially if your talking gloss black???, & with how picky you are? I think your setting yourself up for disaster there...
the other stuff is fine, the plenum in my opinion if you go too funky there instead of getting this awesome look your picturing you might also wind up with that kid with a spraycan type look there too. I'd say stick to black or silver if you must do it...
well all the stuff I am thinking of doing is all duplicolor spray paint kits lol....so it can't be tooo rough i should probably just practice on something first before messing with the real thing... RIP my engine cover lol..
and all of this stuff I was thinking of doing really over my winter break, so I would have time to do it rather than trying to rush it for a show like my engine cover. like, I would take the real time to let the paint come out nice instead of rushing it....or I can borrow my friend's paintgun to try and do the real deal instead of an aerosol can.....
plus my birthday is coming up in November....so of course i would want things for the FX
Yeah i was thinking of that but that just looks plain i wanted something to spruce up the look a little bit
yeah, since i'm at school and everything. none of this would take place until winter break....
I would have had way more time and money to do these types of things over the summer if I didnt have to spend so much time and money fixing the POS nismo exhaust you sold me

What happened with the exhaust?! I had that thing on for 2 yrs and I didnt have a single problem.

rusted through after a month of having it on, a tailpipe literally fell off while I was driving, there was a crack in the pipe by the midpipe that was leaking, one of the hangers broke and i needed to arcweld it, the welds were god awful and basically what you thought and said was surface rust was straight up rust and with the time and money I spent fixing it i might as well have bought a brand new one. Im not saying you knew it was going to fall apart on me but its the just the fact that I got it from you and things just so happened to crap out after having it on for a short period of time.
oh man.. Im sorry to hear that. I really didnt have an idea this was gonna happen or I wouldve just left it on the FX instead of paying someone to take it off.

I figure dout that on my back passenger door, it's not that it wont unlock, it wont lock either. it used to not open form the outside, locked or not, but now it opens, but if i close it and press lock all the doors lock but that one, so i have to reach and do it manually.... argh. and I can hear something is looose when I use either handle..
I'm on fall break this weekend so maybe there will be a little time for door surgery.
did I mention it's SNOWING at my schoool in PA?

updates...
this is the last time I buy a used product unless i know the guy selling them...
the HFCs i got were either simply stock ones gutted or Crawfords with alot of miles on them. upon further investigation before the install i noticed that only one HFC had the "honeycomb" in it while the other was completely empty...plus one had a crack and one was scuffed...sooo i send them back to the seller and will be getting my money back. after i get tthat money back i will be sending my ECu to technosquare for the reflash/tune.... (excited)
this weekend, I had fall break...so i did a mini project:
replaced my reverse lights and dtrls AGAIN because one front bulb and one reverse LED were out...so i bought all new LEDS from autolumination...they are brighter than the older ones..
took me about 10 minutes to replace all of the bulbs...
i forgot how hard it is to take night shots of lights....i havent used my dslr in a while
and I detailed the FX because I don't have too much time to at school (im on fall break, going back today actually) so it's nice and clean....
don't hate on the windshield sticker...it's for my college and my friends and I put them like that as a joke-type thing.....long story short, we went to a party at a university 10 minutes away and wanted to signify where we were from....I wish I had pictures of how we parked lol....(front lawn of the hosting frat)
plus it goes with the orange sidemarker
I want to tint my tails...just slightly
and here's a better pic of the engine bay, to see the GTspec STB.
and i never posted a real picture of the LEDs under my dash and where I moved my parrot bluetooth to(in the sunglass holder)
think my headlights are bright enough? lol......
I think its better up there than next to the clock...its cleaner

lol do they look red to you?
they are orange and almost match the interior lights. to get a true color match to the interior you have to order through this japanese company that the g and z guys use but they are three times as expensive and take like a month to get here..plus they are bare LEDS so you have to make your own mounting system....meanwhile these are just a bar meant fur underdash lighting.

p.s. can i use the crawford v5 plenum with the plenum spacer orr ditch the spacer and just use that plenum? i know i said i wouldnt buy used parts but i found one for $325 in NJ so i can actually drive to go look at it lol
or are the gains it gives me just as good as the spacer aka i dont need it?

You dont need it if you have the spacer and no they can not be combined. Has the same effect as a spacer but a plenum like mine reduces heat soak/running temps that the oem doesnt (id say gains are just as good)
