deciding what to get next



yeah, better than you want to go means more $$$ than you'd want to spend maybe...

hmm i see..... i mean around 500-600 is what i was thinking since ts is 500..... im loking around on other sites trying to find shops... i just odnt know if its better to just go ts because thyehave it "cracked" or suck it up and get a piggyback that hopefully worksright

one is 1500 new and th others were sold already ;-/ i didnt realize they were that expensive hehe...... but thye are probably worth it

btw j,

I dont think you can do a final gear ration change since you are AWD. (correct me if I'm wrong) because it will cause the rear wheels to spin at a different rate than the front.

oh really? damn.....because apparently that was a good mod. so i can play with the gear ratios or anything either?






not going to lie, i was looking at NOS the kit was 1500 for the "foolproof" kit
 
haha, jb, you already have a 3.9 :tongue: all awd's do... you'd have to start loking at even taller gears, maybe a 4.3+, but yeah, gota do 2 sets, front & rear... don't know what's available for the frontr really but that would be a nice mod, but $$$ also considering you're doing it twice, both front & rear...
 
JB, my personal opinion is that you should spend absolutely no money on the FX except oil changes, spark plugs, air filter.

Save up all of your money for either a house, TT, or something like a Stillen S/C (since LMS S/C's are no longer available :tongue:)

Never heard that rule before, sounds pretty stupid. Those links weren't even for you so I don't know what you are whining about. JB has a my350Z account, so it's easy for him to view them. And that's probably the best place to buy used 350Z headers.

but yeah im not finding that many used nismo headers...the ones i find are either sold are NEW...
i figure dic ould find a pair for 600 :-/ apparently not yet
 
gears would be very noticable in acceleration, you'll burn more gas & top speed will be reduced a bit but doubt you'll ever realize top speed. def a nice improvement in acceleration, worth it? depends if you think it is, it probaly is worth it but again, take a bit of research to see what fits the frontr & what is available

utec has it's advantages & then ts flash has it's benifits. best of both worlds may be just doing a "tuner flash" that ts can do, it's cheaper than a full flash but it gives you all the things that you woun't get with just a piggyback, 100% throttle, raise the speed limit & stuff, but no fuel or ignition alteration, then the piggyback takes over for that. think ts tuner flash is around $250... this with a dyno tune is probaly the best setup


& it has been mentioned that if a link is to another forum that requires log in to view then the pertanant info should also be copied & pasted here, but that was more specified for the "deals on other sites" thread, not sure if it's a rule in general but it is curtious to provide a copy/paste, but a link to show one guy something that you know he has access too isn't such a big deal either I think... edit: ah, it IS actualy a rule, thanks doc :wink:

alright so changing the gears will increase my accel, right?
how much am i looking at spending..where can i get that done?

so do you recomend TS tune THEN a dyno tune?
