deciding what to get next

So was there a conclusion reached in all this???
baker, most of what you have asked has been covered many times in a variety of threads. I can read into your intentions here but it looks like you have already done most all the mods that are within the budget you are looking at. Your next step would logically be FI so I suggest you save up your money in college and do that when you have gathered the necessary funds.

Thread moved.

well isnt getting an ecu tune from technosquare more beneficial than getting a piggyback tune with a dyno tune from some random place near me (they do subes...automasters)
A dyno tune is alot better than just sending your ECU off to be flashed. All TS will do is guess how your FX runs. When dyno tuned, someone will dyno your FX to get a baseline, and then make adjustments until it's the best it can be.

what if i get a dyno to get a baseline then send the dyno sheet with my ecu to technosquare......?

the onyl reason im so set on technosquare is because that's what i remember hearing is the best ecu tune for us around....

also, will the nismo headers FIT on the fx?
i have the nismo stune catback, stop ypipe.
if i keep the nismo catback, get maybe aftermarket y (kakumei) or stock y, will the nismo headers fit? becasue apparently they are GREAT.

i researched more on the hood damper...will the g35 or 350z one fit the fx?

should i send my ecu t get flashed and tuned by technosquare the right way or take it to a local place where they will piggyhback the system buthave it on a dyno....both are around the same price

Them having a random chart of your stock dyno won't do much. The whole point is to get a baseline, make changes, and dyno again to see how the changes affected it.

so what would you do?
send it to TS, who is reputable on this site,

or take it to a local place who will most likely piggyback it but have actual dyno results>

If I was you, I would look around me for a decent VQ tuner. Check my350z for local shops. If I didn't find anyone near me to dyno tune it, then just send it to TS with a list of mods, etc. and see what they can do.
If I was in your situation, what I would do would be drive down to UpRev in Austin, or maybe check out Cobb Tuning again to get it dyno tuned.

hmm well i dont think im going to drive to texas for a tune. there are a bunch or reputable tuners in Ny but most have RWD dynos only.. :-/

let me do some snooping.

i think im going to do the nismo headers (when they are confirmed to fit) and an ecu tune, maybe a y pipe, then do the light tailight tint, then stop spending money on the FX lol.
unless someone will know if the engine damper kit will fit the fx

time for a shop search

of coruse cobb and the place oyu mentioned are all west coast....... and i mean if i needed to i would drive the 28 hours but im sur ei can find a capable place in a 4 hour radius of me

taken from another thread: "if east coast...emanage ultimate or a similar aftermarket ecu and get it tuned by a good tuner. It shouldn't cost you more than $250-300 for the piggyback used (you don't need UTEC) and each tune should be 1-1.5 hr labor."
what do you think? isnt it bad to do a piggyback compared to a TS

about time you chimed in haha. know any good AWD dyno tuners?

I never said you should come to Texas. That's what I would do if I wanted a tune like you. In other words, I would look local first. And the headers fit, there was thread on them.

John, must be your browser doing that, haha. Looks normal on mine.

got a guy in staten island with an awd dyno & can tune utec... also MAY have a utec available soon... with the tuner add on wideband setup too... utec may be a bit better than you may want to go though
