Clear tail lights...here they come!

I bought mine from Glendale Infiniti. They had 5 sets originally, but all are gone now. Total was $1498.47 (it included the middle hatch brake light). A little more $ than the others, but the reason I purchased from them is because a lot of the taillights have been broken, and Glendale Infiniti actually unpackaged them to make sure they weren't broken before shipping them to me. Potentially saved me some time in returns/exchanges/etc.

Thanks! They are dark chrome. It's interesting though because they look like chrome in some light, and in other light they almost look black. Needless to say I'll be taking all photos of my car in light that makes them look black lol
 
After 4 wks of waiting (back order) finally received the clear tail lights and stop light. I must say that they are really nice!! Unfortunately one of them came scratched so i had to return and order another one. Hopefully will install in nxt two weeks

Took'em long enough, but these are SWEET! Wish we had a clear upgrade for the 3rd brake light on the 1st Gens...
 
Don't know if this is worth it and if it's the correct price.

To find out all you need to check is your turn signal bulb. If it locks with 3 tabs then you’d need to take your ride apart. 4 tabs and you’re all set for an easy swap.

Lol my 2010 is the same way, I took my trunk apart to change the wiring. I too thought of cutting and splicing the cables but decided to go the OEM route. It doesn't take long but its a lot to do if you've never taken your ride apart before.

Hi, I was just wondering why did you have to take out the whole trunk. Was there a reason that you had to take out the trunk? Just wanting to get mine swapped with qx70 taillights as well. Saw that signal light housing tabs are different and thought of just buying the harness online to splice and fit tabs for tail signals.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was thinking just to cut the wires of the signal stock harness for the turn signal right at the tailight and then connect a new qx70 turn signal harness (bought online?) Onto the cut wires so then it's easy plug and play. But maybe this is not the case otherwise you would have done this way?

Ok so I ended up breaking my tail lights trying to remove them, I have a question some people I have read have noticed that the sockets were the bulbs are different specially if the tail lights are being installed on the earlier 2nd gen.

Where is the best place to get the tail lights from? I’m eating for one of the Infiniti dealers on eBay to get them but they have not posted them, so don’t know if anyone has got them from infinitipartsdeal.com
 
Yeah I seen them just waiting on another one of the Infiniti ebay store that’s sells the whole set for $100 less then this set which does not include the top brake light.

So are these the correct tail lights bc when I entered a vin number that has those lights on them the website says they don’t match. I just don’t want to place the order and get the red ones. I’m close to pulling the trigger on them
 
Try another Vin, some places dont list a real VIN for some reason, I had that issue too. As long as you go by part number they will be clear.
