Just got mine back from Legacy. Got my oil change, dash replaced and my passenger seatbelt. Got a G for 2 days. Looks pretty close to the original. And like everyone else says...feels a bit sandpaperish.

I am scheduled to have the dash repaired Thursday. Dealer said it will take a few hours and I can have my FX back the same day. I thought it took a good two days, am I wrong?

Mine just started bubbling .. car was made 101 months ago, I'm out of luck, Infinti told me they could care less about 2nd owners, buy a new car model thats under warranty.....even though it only has 54k miles. Last time I buy Infiniti

Which dealer did you go to in Milwaukee?

I know that they're both International Auto now, but the people at the north shore location have always been awesome for me.

The service advisor just called me and told me the new dash is on order, but he has no idea when it's coming in. Also getting the annoying seat creak fixed with a whole new unit too.
I know this is waaay old.. also bubbled dash.. too ;ate for that I guess as I am rolling an 04.. but what is the fix for the creaking seat? man its annoying

I got my dash replaced recently and it looks great. Is it a good idea to put a protectant on it or will this add to the possibility of a re-occurence?

Hey George, just noticed you never received an answer to your question regarding protectant on your new dash. The short answer is no. The longer answer is the new dash uses a better substrate adhesive than the previous dashes and shouldn't delaminate regardless of what you apply to it.

My dash has finally started showing patches of acne, going in next week for replacement. Hoping to get a few other things done while the dash is off, first priority is installing my powered under dash antennae.

Had my dash replaced summer of 2013...thought I wasn't going to be effected but oh well...new dash looks great:rotfl:

I have a 2004 I bought it used in 2013 so missed out on the warranty. It is a eyesore now and I wish they would honor it still

Anyone tried to get this done recently? My '05 (that I've had for 6 years) just started bubbling and I'm pissed!

Also, has anyone had trouble with the dash deforming when it gets warm? When I put my sun visor up on warm days it literally sinks into the dash. The marks stay visible for about two weeks before the dash "settles" back to it's original shape...

^Do you mean headliner?

Damn I noticed an FX in my parking garage today that had a slight bubbling dash, but it's an '05 at the newest so no longer eligible since it's 96 months. What a ripoff.

No, fold out sunscreen that goes across the dash to block the front window.
My dash is all melted where it connects to the driver and passenger door when closed. When I open the door up there is melted dash on my door that I need to peel off. The dash in that spot looks like the chocolate melting off of a Reese's peanut butter cup

Wowzers, inky! That really happens?
I use the sun shade that is like 2 wire framed circles covered in thin nylon. I haven't noticed any damage but will have to look closely now.

Dam are you serous melting?? That's just freakin bs

Taking my 06 in tomorrow to have the dash replaced. I've noticed more and more bubbles develop over the last couple of months. My 96 months luckily expires in September.
