Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

Does anyone have dashboard replacement instructions for a DIY. Am 3rd owner on an 03 FX35. Dealer could not do the work for the dash replacement other than acknowledging it was bubbling and was not due to abuse. Infiniti refused any assistance, so considering buying the dash and installing myself. Any help would be appreciated.[/QUOTE

^^^^ In the same situation and interested in same....

I would call another infiniti dealer and see what they say.

I been blowing off getting my dash repaired and finally made the call this past week. While speaking to the individual in the service department, her words were "there is a recall for this item that is supposed to expire oct of this year but it also states unlimited miles." Now, i am not sure if it's because my car is an 05 but they are going to take care of it.

My dashboard is scheduled to be replaced on my 2006 FX this week and a loaner car provided fee of charge under the extended dashboard warranty covering FX years 03-08. 8yrs/unlimitied miles from vehicle production date. I called Infiniti Customer Service line and they gave me the Infinitii warranty code number #WR-5447984.

Common on the 1st gen G35 too!!!

Lol you guys think this is a common issue only on the 1st gen FX? Well think again my 1st gen G35 has a similar issue with a cracking dash right where it meets with the A pillar. A stress cracked formed causing the vinyl to chip off. It has it in that same exact spot on the driverside too. I looked on the G forums and there is a huge thread dedicated to this issue. Smh I called infiniti consumer affairs today:

Luckily I caught this early on my G35 because if they dont fix it ill have it repaired before it spread anymore. Luckily this is a part you dont see though.

I am also a second owner and had the maf sensor fixed under warranty no questions asked. I plan to have my bubbling dash replaced in the fall.

You should have no problems getting the dash replaced under warranty. The warranty doesn't just apply to the original owner.

Well never give up.... After being denied by Infiniti just over one year ago for being 4 months beyond the 96 month extension, I sent a rather compelling two page letter last week describing my bubbling dash saga to the Service Director of my dealer, along with a copy of my 2010 recall letter and a photo of my now out-of-control, embarrassing, bubbling dash and I got the call today that they'll take care of it! Though it's long over due, I am so relieved and appreciative. Set an appointment for next Thursday.

Got an appointment for tomorrow at Fields Infiniti Glencoe. Slowly the bubbles are popping up and i'd rather just get it taken care of and not worry later (hope it doesn't bubble again in 6 yrs). I tried going in May to Infiniti of Hoffman Estates and they wouldn't do it. Went all the way out there for nothing, even got a loaner, and then they called and said there aren't enough bubbles  I hope tomorrow will be better.

Ha, there was a single small bubble on my dash when I bought it and the dealer up here took it and replaced it no questions asked. Good Luck.

I just dropped off my '08 FX35 for the dash being bubbled up. It got bad enough that I just googled it, found a post on eBay of all places that there was a recall for 8yrs. Thus, Infiniti is replacing my dash now and I pick it up Monday. Maybe it's a warranty or recall situation?? I hope so for your sake.

Bubbled dash updated

Wish I would hae been smart enough to find this months ago. None the less, after seeing link below, I called and the dealer has my Fx35 now and fixing at no charge! Mine looks 5 x's worse than this, glad they stepped up to replace.

I can post the link at another time (need more posts) but if you Google "Infiniti fx35 bubbled dash" an eBay result comes up and someone posted Inf Consumer repairs about this matter.

So I started parking my car outside (garage is full outside of school.)
I put my sunshade visor up.. come back and when removing the visor.. it sticks to my dash... causing the dash to peel.

...will they still replace it?
