Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

If you had your dash installed three years ago, circa 2009, chances are you had one of the old ones installed before the fix was ever addressed in early 2010.

Oh wow thats crazy. I'd be so upset happy mines is not doing that. But happy I know what to look for thanks for the pic.

Hey guys, New to the forum and wanted to share my dash R/R with Kearny Mesa Infiniti in San Diego. 2005FX45 with 51k and in the last 6 months or so the dash went to hell with the bubble issue. Just this week I decided to give the guys at the local dealership a call and to my surprise they had two replacement unit in stock and requested a warranty replacement on the defective dash. Once I made the call the service tech. went ahead and promised a loaner car (G37 sedan) and requested two days for the R/R. I went ahead and dropped the car off on Monday and received a call on the following day for a pickup stating that the R/R was finished.
All and all with $0 money out of pocket, I am very satisfied with Infiniti standing up and owning up to this issue. Fit and finish on the install was impeccable, no broken tabs nothing is squeaking so far.

This is extremely helpful as I was wondering what my options were with my bubbling dash on my 07 FX. I'll contact Infiniti tomorrow.

Hello, I am out of warranty and Infiniti just refused any help. I'm 3rd owner on a 2004 fx35. Has some bubbles that started to show up. Is there any video or instruction set on doing the replacement by myself. Thanks.

Hello. Have a 2004 fx35 with dash bubbles starting to show. Am 3rd owner, and car just went out of warranty in July 2012. Infiniti just refused any help. Is there a video or instruction set on replacing the dash by myself. Thanks

Well, I am having same issues. I called my local infiniti dealer and talk to someone last friday around noon. He said, I'll look into it and call you. Well, the weekend and Monday came and nothing. Tuesday I called them again and the guy said, hey I tried calling you and nothing. I said well you could have left a voicemail. At this point I thought they where evading me because I wanted this done under warranty. He said no I called your number and it was disconnected. Long story short, they had a wrong number but the are happy to do this for me at no cost. So I am dropping my car off next Monday. I am happy because my dash went from noticeable to really bad in a few months this past year.

Mine goes in tomorrow for 3 or 4 very small bubbles. 1 month left on warranty. I figure it's not getting any better, so might as well. I dont like the sandpaper'ish texture of the revised dash, but I'm sure it beats the bubble that will be coming.

In an EX today. First time. Sits a little high for me, but I like the way it drives.

Has anyone had any luck with an out of warranty dash being replaced for a second time? My 04 is starting to look bad and it appears they did the replacement 4 or 5 year ago (previous owner), from what I read they weren't using the new dash's until 2010. I was going to call the dealer and confirm it was replaced and now it's bubbling again. I thought I would ask here? Does anyone know a service manager I can call Los Angeles area that might be familiar with this? Thanks.

I believe the replacement dash is also eligible for replacement if it bubbles too. There are some here that have had theirs replaced multiple times before Infiniti switched to the new material.

Does anyone have dashboard replacement instructions for a DIY. Am 3rd owner on an 03 FX35. Dealer could not do the work for the dash replacement other than acknowledging it was bubbling and was not due to abuse. Infiniti refused any assistance, so considering buying the dash and installing myself. Any help would be appreciated.
