Thanks.... I talked to my dealer, and say said it was the first time they heard about it and that they would look into it and get back to me.

At least now I know their should be no excuse.

i just noticed some bubbles around the middle and the driver side speakers located in the front dash. has anyone had such bubbles?

how do i get my 2003 fx45 with 82000 miles dash replaced its cracked all over the place will the dealership charge me? what do i say to dealership when i go in

Say you bringing it in for under warranty that's it see what they say unless you got bubbles then say something if u got nothing other then the cracks just tell them under warranty

Just wanted to share my experience with this issue.

My dash started bubbling and I got pissed so I looked online and seen that there was a recall/warranty on the dash. I contacted the dealership I purchased my FX from, Infiniti South Bay and told them that I know there is a recall for my dash for my 2005 FX35. I have almost 97,000 miles on mine and it is no longer under warranty. They called me back about an hour later and honored it without any issues. I didn't need a letter or anything. Just got it installed today and I am happy to say that there are no craters and my Bose speakers actually fit flush. This may be the most decent experience I've had with a stealership in a long time.

Unfortunately my clear coat on my FX is starting to peel....wtf??? Last Infiniti I'll ever own.

Mine just started bubbling on the upper dash a couple weeks ago. It is around the left and right speakers, but not the center. I was holding out on getting the lower replaced to see if this would happen and it did.

I wonder if they will replace both or just the lower...

I'm not sure what you mean by upper and lower. The dash is one piece. From the top of your glove compartment all the way to the window.

That's news to me, I thought it was comprised of 2 seperate pieces.

Well the rest of us that have bubbles both on the top and the bottom are good to go.

This diagram from Infinitipartsusa calls it something else but it shows the "dash" and how big the piece really is. It's even bigger than I thought it was and explains Infiniti's reluctance to warranty the bubbles. It's an expensive repair for them.

Whether they like it or not, their suppose to.

Rule #1 to running a business:

Customer's satisfaction>profit

Without us, Infiniti wouldn't even be making shit.

Replacing some dash wouldn't hurt them as much as losing thousands of customers.
