BIG "A" DETAILING Shop Introduction & Pricing

Man, this is the best possible advertising you could come up with. The daily shots show the variety of paint issues, colors and even brands of cars and products. This is becoming one of my favorite threads - think I'm going to subscribe. That's a big deal to me, cuz to be honest I never really cared much for detailing until I started modding a couple years ago. This thread along with all the forum discussion is totally changing that for me. Just wish I could come see you to get everything baseline corrected, then work on maintaining it myself.

Just recently I heard about a guy that is so good people fly him out, put him in a hotel and get as many cars together as he can handle for as long as he's there. Think that might be something you'd consider? I'm pretty sure I could find four or five owners that would split travel cost & hotel with me to make it a better value. Just throwing the idea out there.

its been a goal of mine to hop on a plane & go detail in another state.
my good friend used to get flown out of state to hand paint pinstriping on cars in the 1980s. Just a few brushes & a fishing tackle box of paint & he was on his way. they would give him lots of brand new cars at the dealership to pinstripe.

there is something about a customer requesting for me to go out of state & then offer to put me up n a hotel gives that really excites me. its kind of hard to explain it, maybe i just cant find the word for it.

Im already thinking about going to a houston rockets game if we go there =)

Please reply back to my PM.

this is what happens when you use too much tire shine!
be carefull, it can stain the white paint, leaving behind an ugly yellowish shadow that sometimes needs to be wetsanded out. this car does not have any staining, im just giving you guys a heads up with what could happen if you use too much tire shine. next time you dress your tires, make sure you use the right amount. if you think you applied too much, pat the tire with an old towel or go over it again with a fresh sponge applicator pad!

whats the most challenging color to detail in your opinion then?
white, silver & gold are actually the hardest to detail if your doing a paint correction or paint restoration. its most difficult to see paint defects in lighter colors.
i actually love doing black cars. does that sound a little strange? lol
black is the easiest color to detail, lot of pussies complaining about swirl marks. those are the detailers that lack confidence because they probably lack the experience with the wheel. if your intimidated by a black car you will probably swirl it up or burn something.

hey andrew quick question, my gf has a white mazda 3 , my sister has the same problem, and i've noticed some little rust spots on the fender and on the side of the door, i think it could possibly be from the brakes, is there any way to remove these tiny spots without buffing? I don't know how to use a buffer and i dont want to cause any swirls or burn the paint, is there a compound i could possibly buy and try to take them out? let me know man, thanks

sounds like you need to use a blue medium grade clay magic surface preparation bar with a little spray wax on the panel before you rub it with the clay. that should take care of the problem.
is this on just the fender & side of the door or on the entire car?

Well its here and there some spots are on the front passenger/drivers side fender and in the back drivers side, so all i would need is some meguiars spray wax followed by this product : http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...e/PRD~0392869P/Mothers%3F+Clay+Bar+System.jsp

could that work? btw your work is amazing, i wish i had someone in the toronto area who could detail like you
that clay bar kit is fine. sometimes the clay can leave little scratches in the paint so its suggested to polish the car afterwords. you can mask the light scratches by a coat of wax though if you cant do it yourself.
any more questions?
