I like how you so are active on this forum  please keep it up :)

I have seen PDR in person and its amazing what they can do !
thanks, i stay this active on the now 14 forums that my shop sponsors/advertises on. the laptop is on all day at the shop & then when i get home i dont know how to NOT turn on the house computer! i have 2 full time workers & i also work with them on the floor at all times. it would be great if i had someone i could trust to handle all of my internet marketing but thats never going to happen. im a one man show for now and my guys are behind the scenes working hard in the shop as well. sometimes theres only one way to do things.

BIG "A" DETAILING BLK G35 Paint Correction Paint Was MESSED UP!

Hey guys, we just finished up a crazy week at the shop. Me & my guys put in alot of extra hours, closing up at 9pm & sometimes 10pm on most nights.
On Sat 8/29/09 I took in a 2007 Black Infiniti G35 2dr complete paint correction job.
I had been working on it all week long & needed to have it all ready for Sat 9/5/09 pick up!
After closing up at 10pm on Friday, something was really bothering me! I went home to take a shower, got a bite to eat & went back to the shop around 11:30pm to work on the G35. I stayed till about 2:30am, then went back home to sleep for a few hours. I got back to my shop the next day at 8am & was actually on time! Saturday was another long day! I got the G35 done & had enough energy with my guys to finish the last car on the night at 8pm! It was a very long week, I was glad to have Sunday & Monday off to rest up & get ready to go back to the shop on Tueseday!
I know what everyone is saying, 1 full week to do a paint correction job?
I put in a good 25.00 hours into this car.

Optimum Hyper Compound
Optimum Polish II
Optimum Finish Polish

Collinite Paste Fleet Wax No. 885 as a bottom coat - applied by hand
This durable boat was is so thick, it needs to be melted in order to soften it up & make it easier to apply. Removing this wax is a pain in the ass as it quickly forms a hard shield around the car within 1-2 minutes of applying it to the painted surface. It's a good durable wax that I've used in the shop for many years.

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax No. 845 as a top coat - applied by hand
Another great product that I've been using in the shop for many years.
This wax produces a really great shine & gives the paint a long lasting layer of protection.

Every panel on the car looked almost identical to these three pictures.
The shop has been very busy, I would've taken more if I had the time.
I think you can get the idea though.

After a hand wash, clay bar & drying the car with the leaf blower
I took it inside to inspect the paint.

Here's what I found:

Very nice job Andrew.
Wow ! One week to detail it :ehh:
thanks. yea man, the car was here for a total of 8 days. dropped off on a saturday, picked up the folowing saturday afternoon. i put a couple of hours into this car each day. the bulk of the work done for a job like this takes place after 6,7pm after the shop is closed. with nobody around & the phone not ringing & messing up my work flow, thats when im able to concentrate more on a job like this. keep in mind, neither of my 2 workers ever lift a hand with the buffing wheels. they are trained to do 75% of the work that goes on here but the compounding & polishing has always and is always done by me. you shouldve seen the look on the customers face after he picked the car up. im sure he missed his baby but i promised him perfection & thats exactly what i delivered to him. theres nothing more sexy than a black car with the wettest, deepest reflection, especially when looked at under direct sunlight!
i need to get around to printing the pics, framing them & hanging them on the walls in the shop but idk, i like clean walls.

I'd consider a run next Spring, if we could get a couple more Canucks to take the cruise:glasses:

I just plugged your address into Mapquest.
Here is the results for me to drive: Total Travel Estimates: 11 hours 25 minutes / 590.68 miles
A bit more than a hop/step and a jump.

That looks amazing! Like a mirror. My paint doesn't look that good new! Gee35FX can probably improve on that travel time, I think Mapquest assumes you're driving something normal...

BIG "A" DETAILING 02 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster Detail

Three Different metal polishes were used to bring back the dullness of the parts after the customer washed the bike with 409 Degreaser!
There was some light over spray on the chrome exhaust pipes & paint from the new paint job that was recently just done.
I clayed the tank & fenders twice,
applied some Optimum compound & polish by hand
then applied three coats of RejeX sealant to all paint work ( by hand),
allowing each coat to cure for 15 mins

I started with the Wizzards first.

Back to the metal polishing
Old socks are great for those hard to reach areas on a bike.

The rims were not that bad, just the metal on both sides of the bike. The heads as well were extremely dull. I spent more time hand polishing out the dull metal than I did waxing & detailing the rest of the bike.
