If you look at the 5th picture on this ebay listing, you'll get the idea how to remove the cover
that pic is exactly what I needed, thank you!

Thanks Andy. It's so cheaply priced, plain curiosity is getting the best of me.
I'm thinking I'll get it and keep my core to have that rebuilt. I don't know.
Random Followup...
I ended up getting the cheapy $37 starter. Standard delivery from RockAuto delivered it next day. Took it to a local shop and had it installed for $152. It starts up quick and crisp! (Well, it has once. lol)
So, if I return for the core deposit, the starter cost me $189 without having to get my hands dirty.
I might get the old starter rebuilt just in case the cheapy craps out on me.
I like to keep it open, makes the cabin feel bigger to me..I just keep the slider closed if the sunroof isn't open.
I agree, seems like BS to me too. can never trust what you read on the internet.. except that article i read about Tupac being alive.. i want to believe that one lolAre people saying the heat increases the pressure enough to explode the glass? That seems unlikely

I bought denso. Still working for 2 years now with no issuesLooking at starters on rockauto...
PURE ENERGY (remanufactured) $37 + $40core = $77
REMY (remanufactured) $105 + $70core = $175
DENSO (remanufactured) $141 + $34core = $175
AC DELCO (remanufactured) $184 + $49core = $233
I feel skeptical about the low price on the Pure Energy. Anybody have any experiences?
I'm thinking it might be worth the risk just to found out.
Wow.. guess I'll never go to that transmission place again.I don't see any fluid on the end of the stick. Is the goob is all you can see? If so, you're very low on fluid.
