Sooo ..................... if I happen to get this mod done for mine ummmmmmm I should go sans undies from then on ahem ahem ??? I'm seriously thinking of getting this done since it's not an expensive mod but makes a nice difference with the sound !! I had an x pipe on one of my previous rides and I luuuuved it ...... but kept my undies on wink wink !!

Don't do a muffler delete on your Fx Elaine. Personally if I had a fx50 I would based on the fact there is no exhaust being sold except the Borla. Since you have the 35 get the ARK or the Invidia and get an increase in hp and torque plus it sounds sexy.

Ahhhhhh I had forgotten that neva has a 50 and mines is a ummmm 35 :bulgy-eyes: !!! Well I guess time to save up for either the ARK or Invidia !!!

I heard Kenny's FX50 muffler delete in person it sounds awesome but way too loud in my opinion. It's even louder than my Megan exhaust on my G with a straight pipe mid section and I think that's loud lol.

Maybe on a cold start, and that's a maybe but as soon as it reaches normal idle speed it quiets down a bit. I wish my 50 sounded like your Megan lol.

Okay Aaron, I take it back lol. I watched your video again and my 50 is louder than your Megan but not by much I wouldn't say it was way too loud. Lol
 
I guess hearing it on video is different from hearing it in person, but I think it sounds sweet
Interesting solution to the no aftermarket exhaust problem :good:
 
THe muffler delete is loud but it's a better sound than a v6 with a full exhaust which may be louder.

I haven't had any problems passing inspection in NY. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's part of the inspection process in NY. On another note I didn't know the muffler had an affect on emission, it's not like the muffler has a filter in it.

Muffler has nothing to do with emissions. That's the Catalytic converter's job. The Muffler simply "Muffles" the sound coming from your exhaust.
 
I might be the odd one here but I don't particularly like it. I think it is a nicely done though none-the-less. I would like to hear it from a full throttle launch, just out of curiosity.

Nothing odd about it since it is your own opinion. I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of people that wouldn't like the sound.

Thanks about the job well done.

Jbaker has a video of him pulling off and accelerating all the way through. I will post one soon of rev, accel, fly by and whatever else I can do that will give a better idea of how it sounds.
 
Jbaker, you had the exhaust shop do mandrel bends? Did the shop do it or did they buy parts and what did it run you total to remove the muffler and the new piping?
