Muffler delete video. (Finally!!)

Sounds niceee :eek.: I actually removed the muffler off mine but i never actually did the welded any piping or tips onto it. The 35 and 50 actually sound the same except the 50 has a little bit more growl to it

Jbaker, you had the exhaust shop do mandrel bends? Did the shop do it or did they buy parts and what did it run you total to remove the muffler and the new piping?

They were all ordered mandrel bends - bought them and welded them. I paid around $300 but was overcharged with the labor - they took their damn time. parts weren't cheap either and I bought new tips instead of using the factory ones. - prob wont go to that shop again

Thanks Jordan....can you post links to the mandrel bends and tips you bought? I noticed your tips extend out more than OEM.

I don't recall which brand they were. I ordered them through the shop that did the work. They extend out a bit more because I wanted them that way; that's all in the piping length used.

ah so the shop told you the mandrel bends you need to buy? So it was $300 for the pipes and something for labor?

nono. For the parts + labor it was like 300. Some shops have a mandrel bender, some have to order the parts, some have them in stock.

Did you not use your tips just because you didn't want to cut them off thinking it be worth more money selling the part or easier to put back on back to stock

or was it because you found some really nice titanium tips or something that you preferred over OEM?

I wanted to keep the stock muffler intact to switch back

If I had to do it over again I would have done the same. I found some good looking aftermarket tips around. Even though I don't think I'm going back unless I go for a trade in the the far off future. I kept the muffler, so worst case scenario I would just cut the tips off and have them welded back onto the stock muffler again.

I like these a lot aside from that metal tag with the brand's name, but on their official site they come without the tag.

yeah after my muffler debacle on FX gen1 I =m trying to go the smarter route this time around. - also trying to not sell my OEM parts just for the cash, because its a pain tto try and return to stock quickly later!

where did you get your tips Jordan?

I originally wanted to order a specific set from them but they ended up being sent (or ordered) the wrong ones and I ended up with Magnaflow tips that have actually begun to show some discoloration (turning a goldish hue of Chrome) so I may go back to the shop this summer to get them redone on their tab. Im trying not to throw money around pointlessly - luckily the tips I ended up with look okay, besides the "Magnaflow" etching on the top. It leads people to believe I have a MagnaFlow on there, which I dont.... haha

Magnaflow tips look pretty bad ass...which ones did you originally want? The blue colored invidia titanium ones?
