Jbaker, you had the exhaust shop do mandrel bends? Did the shop do it or did they buy parts and what did it run you total to remove the muffler and the new piping?
Thanks Jordan....can you post links to the mandrel bends and tips you bought? I noticed your tips extend out more than OEM.
ah so the shop told you the mandrel bends you need to buy? So it was $300 for the pipes and something for labor?
nono. For the parts + labor it was like 300. Some shops have a mandrel bender, some have to order the parts, some have them in stock.
Did you not use your tips just because you didn't want to cut them off thinking it be worth more money selling the part or easier to put back on back to stock
or was it because you found some really nice titanium tips or something that you preferred over OEM?
I wanted to keep the stock muffler intact to switch back
If I had to do it over again I would have done the same. I found some good looking aftermarket tips around. Even though I don't think I'm going back unless I go for a trade in the the far off future. I kept the muffler, so worst case scenario I would just cut the tips off and have them welded back onto the stock muffler again.
I like these a lot aside from that metal tag with the brand's name, but on their official site they come without the tag.

where did you get your tips Jordan?
Magnaflow tips look pretty bad ass...which ones did you originally want? The blue colored invidia titanium ones?
