^ same. I seen Kat from Vossen did her Lexus in flat teal and it looks amazing. I just don't know how well it would look on such a big canvas like our FX.

They make vinyl specific for car wrapping these days. It has "air channels" built into it so that it's easier to get the bubbles out. Also, the material itself is much more forgiving and can be stretched and contoured much better than previous types of vinyl. Back in the day, I had a company that did vehicle graphics (not commercial stuff, but custom car stuff). The vinyl was so much harder to use then and we weren't even wrapping full cars. When I got out of it was when they first started wrapping cars to change the color and a lot of the early stuff looked horrible. Weird wrinkles, gaps, air bubbles for days. Now the wraps look awesome for the most part.

Usually lasts 4-5 years. No stone chips, since it's a vinyl.

Hey Zeeb, does a wrap cost just as much as a new paint job, plus prep or more ? then the up keep as far as washing what sthat like ?

I did the wrap myself. Material costs range from $200 to $1500. Usually a full wrap would cost around 3K-4K. No problem with washing, I did the wash 3 weeks ago at the full service touchless car-wash when it was -5F degrees outside. No problems at all.

Decided to redo my front bumper couple days ago, since it was my first big part I've ever wrapped it didn't look perfect.

I was very surprised it didn't pull the spray paint job(lowers prep) on the bumper. Removing the old vinyl...







re-wrapping...
