I swapped mine for halo/projector combo, but I want to change out the bulb for LED or HID. this HID you're using with the standard bulb/reflector housing right?

How does that halo projector working for you? There are feed backs here of low light output.

+1. If you are using the Mori, there is an extra wire with 2 pin type connections from the bulb that you don't need. Make sure to take them out as it has no function.

Yeah there is nothing really to switch around , MM setup is pretty idiot proof, you can only really plug in the cables from the bulbs to the ballast one way and same with connecting the ballast to the harness (clips must match). The original problem I had was no power to the harness at all , it seems like FX's OEM bulb connector was not making full contact with the input connector on the harness, so I used one of those adapter cables with pins on it, I got power to the harness, 1 of the fogs turned on, I tried alternating the bulbs between the 2 ballasts, now both fogs are not firing up at all and ballasts are cold to touch. Still shows power on the harness LED's :bomb::eek.:
 
I got mine working, turns out when they say "anywhere to car chassis is ground", not so. I tried connecting ground to various places under the hood and nothing. Finally, I ran a wire from the ground connections to the battery negative and got them to work, that told me that I had an issue with ground. Finally got proper ground connection around the screws that hold our 2 air filters.
All is working now :eek.:

Probably wouldn't be bad, since these, along with my driving HID's are now BRIGHT AS F*CK!

I have some amber LEDs in my fog housing and they are no way near as bright as those HIDs, however I thought it was a bad idea to use too bright of a bulb for fog lights. Something to do with a glare reflecting off the fog and doing more harm that good when driving of a foggy road. But it does look nicer.:good:

No mine is the same it starts out green when they warm up It turns into a nice yellow.

1st gens have a little access point under the front bumper. It's a tight spot but possible. A "proper" install is best with the bumper off :-)

yep got it on. Handy Andy's garage is a very nice warm climate where no coat is needed even when outside is 20 degrees. :)
 
Sorry I've been MIA on this thread, fellas. Glad to see some of you installed with success. I find it amusing how some of you think it's "simple plug and play". Hardly. There is a lot of patience and wiring to do from the battery and under the hood in crevices. I also installed the heavy-duty relay because I read that without it, output was shitty.

Yes, it is a PITA to get these in, and mount the harnesses in such a tight spot, but the end result (with chewed up hands) is worth it. To make it easier, I removed the wheels to give me more access into the bottom quarter panel.

I recently did the same job on my wife's new 2013 G37xs. Same exact tight workspace, but awesome end result (in place of the weak halogens). She didn't want the yellows, so I replaced her entire front lighting in 8000k HID:

How has the HID fogs worked out for everyone? I was thinking about this upgrade but since I didn't have much luck with HIDs on my motorcycle I was a little apprehensive about putting them on the FX. On my motorcycle I didn't really think about the maintenance aspect and I tucked the ballast away in a more than hard to reach spot so when the ballast blew I was livid and just took them off. Since everyone is saying the fog housings are a pain to reach I don't want a similar headache.

They are really awesome. Bright as hell, brighter than the projector lens almost, so now I want to get the acura lens.
