Slamming needs a 2nd job or new Employment

Are you equally interested in each of your options? Assume the same money, benefits and location - which one would you be happier doing? Personally I'd take a job I liked over one that pays more if I could live comfortably on both salaries.

This would be my answer and congrats Joe!

Wow, three job offers. Congrats Joe. I'm sure you already have an idea which one you would take. Like Tim was saying, go with one that you feel you will be happy with and can live comfortably with its pays. Look at its this way, how do you feel every morning you feel that going to a job that you don't like. I like what I'm doing that I don't feel that I'm working or just doing a job. Best of luck to you on making the decision.

Joe , definitely go with the one you would be the happiest with and the one which would give you the most job satisfaction, even if it was a bit less money to start off with. Remember this is something that you will spend much of your life doing and you want it to be an enjoyable experience during that time.

Years ago I was a Tool & Diemaker at GM, I was not really happy with my job, even though it had excellent pay, excellent benefits and great pension.
I looked around and found a job in the Nuclear Industry, I decided to quit my good job and go to this even though it was a drop in pay for a couple of years. Well it was the best move I ever did because I was happy with my work, I enjoyed going and eventually my wages were right at the top again. I never did tire of the job yet I got to retire at the age of 53.

Good luck on your decision.

Agree with Andy and Wayne.

I had a job offer for $25k more a year with lots more potential in Chicago downtown. Instead I took the job that paid $25k less and RELOCATED (sold the condo in Clarendon Hills and bought a house in Michigan) for a job that many would say is like a dream job and my wife left her job so I can take the Michigan job.

Taking a job that you will love is and is stable is #1 imo.

If you are looking for the opposite and just want $$$, then you have to take the job that you will advance most and fastest and keep switching jobs every 1-3 years so you can keep progressing in position and pay. Don't take a higher paying job that you would potentially like less and plan to stay there.

I guess this is why when they fire people now, they bring them into a room first and then escort outside. People these days don't even have a chance to go back to their desk area. Never went through this myself, but just hear frequently that's how it's done now.

Sorry to hear that and also thank god new opportunities are available for you.... I hope you the best of luck!!!!!

This is what I saw...

LOL thanks for the laughs, Monday will be my 3rd week at the new gig. Took the corporate position with Auto Nation. Hard work and lots of hours but I have been enjoying the change and challenge. The day goes by so fast cause I'm focused and occupied. I believe this was a good move, and am looking forward to where this new beging will take me.

Congratulations Joe, three weeks is a decent barometer to get a feel for the job. Keep working at it man, the CEO position isn't that far off......=)
