Went to my Transmission mechanic today to do a quick Trans Fluid Change.. and he recommended that I don't it
He says that my car has lots of miles to the point it wouldn't be beneficial to drain and fill the the fluid.

Does this make sense..?

1- what is lots of miles?
2- how long are you going to keep it?
3- when was it last done?
4- how old is your mechanic? :)

He's probably talking about a hi-power flush?
Totally OK to flush out the old oil, just dont do it on a machine. Just run it through. If you're worried, do a drain & fill for the next few times you do an oil change

It was just going to be a drain and fill

I'm at 219,6XX miles
I'm going to keep it forever... Lol, it's an 06.
It was last done, I think at 120K or 130K
And I believe the guy is in his late 30s

Woke up this morning with a 4 Sq ft puddle under my car.. Looked like water but had a small tint of red on some areas.
I checked for any leaks from under and saw the small bracket holding these 3 small hose lines (EVAP?) was wet. Is this normal like the puddle from the A/C?

This is located on the passenger side right next to the front wheel

Great. The people who did my transmission fluid probably didn't tighten something :/

Hello guys!

Has anyone tried these HID bulbs from this company? If yes, is this a good brand? Anything out there that is comparable or better without breaking the bank?

Thanks in advance.

Never tried them. I would go with Osram's CBIs. Not much more expensive but very good quality bulbs with pure white color.

Here's one:

Nnaji, that moisture underneath seems normal, but the stuff on the ground looks like coolant to me, although the red suggests ATF. I assume you used the Nissan fluid for the change, and your coolant is yellow/green?

What color is the coolant in your overflow?

Thanks Jason. I've heard good reviews from Osrams.

I love them. I haven them in my car for over two years without any issue.

Thanks Andy. I guess, you can't go wrong with any recommendations coming from Handy Andy!!! :good::wink:

Yeah I used the Nissan grade ATF. But yeah it was actually the ATF leaking.. Thing is after they removed the pan to inspect it, you have to replace the gasket and I guess they reused the old one. All is fixed now, since they replaced the gasket. I also heard elsewhere that the screws should never be reused.

Random, but is there another brand of ATF that is better than OEM's?
