the thing about metro is its a drive for me but glendale is about two mins from where i live.

Glendale Infiniti has always had a bad rep for some reason.

seems like they hired a bunch of new people that odnt know anything about these cars.

+1 on Glendale Infiniti's poor service. Eventhough I bought my FX from them, their service has gone through the crapper.

man... im turning into john(turbocad) with my FX... i pretty much do everything myself.. if something was wrong i have no one to blame but my self.. plus no one will care for my FX as much as i do....
there is a [DEALER REVIEW] prefix.
we need to take this seriously summit a review from this dealership

if they dont do as they promised then i know what to write because this is not the first problem i have encountered at this dealership.

wow thats just bs, they not only need to fix everything they need to check everything and looks like this may be the beginning of a huge problem. after they "fix" your fx you should think about taking to another dealer like metro to have them double check or a dealer with experience...=(

once all is fixed ill make an appointment with metro

it might not be impossible that the belt could have caused the oil filter to loosen. it would have been slapping it in the right direction to do so I think... does it look like that might have been the case?

I had both of my belts replaced by the dealer last oil change. I suggest any FX after 30k to get a new set of belts.

I did take that into consideration and i took a close look but it was not the case since the oil was leaking before the belt started tearing off.

the belts were replaced at 35k which was 10k ago

just went downstairs too take a look, i noticed a tad bit of oil rechecked the oil to see if it had gotten low but it is still at the same place and is stable. Hope it will last until monday.

i had good experiences with the manager and service reps at glendale, but i told them someone is careless with handling the vehicles since i keep getting scratches and even tool marks (on the exterior and interior) though they responded by fixing or replacing what was damaged. i even witnessed an angry customer screaming "my car has a big scratch and no one is helping me!!!" at one visit. hope they get it right this time. and i still think it is worth the drive to metro next time.:smile (2):

Seems like Glendale Infiniti always has problems :(, thanks for the support guys :D

Sorry to hear your experiences.
I stay away from Glendale dealers at all costs based on bad experiences going back many years. I do admit I may have unfair biases because my experiences go back such a long time and that whole auto row was supposedly cleaned up years ago.
When FX shopping, I was tempted by one in at Glendale and crossed it off the wish list only because of that one connection.
I go the extra miles to get service at Metro and parts at Riverside.
Have a good time tomorrow (today).

These service concerns are not relegated to SoCal. I had my rig in 3 times for a cluster replacement until they finally got it right. When I purchased my car, they told me it had had the 30K mile service but when looking at the maintenance book, nothing was noted. So I asked them to update the book on the 3rd cluster repair. They wrote 44K as the milage in the book instead of the 28K that was on the odo.

Looks like the issue is not just a SoCal thang. Attention to deatail is the issue at my local shop.

My dealer put the old belts tied up and in the trunk. They also have someone call a few days later asking to rate their experience at the service every single time I visit. Do your dealers also do this and then just complain? I don't get why they do this. Don't they know if they continue that they will close up shop unless that area gets so much service that's why they don't care?

Are you thinking maybe they never replaced the belts or didn't remove the stickers from the new belt?

I'm wondering whether they used the "correct" Nissan belt, and how long it sat on a shelf before being installed. 10K is a pretty short service life for an acc belt....
