Yep, that's the part in question. So you had it out.
:hmmmm2:
I better get in contact with Transgo and ask about if there any ill effect with that spring left in there

Not bragging or anything, this is only my fourth Transgo install :smile (2): I got home tonight around 8, put the car on ramps. About 2:30 hours later I got the valve body off the car, and separated the upper and lower valve body. I think it will take me another 1.5 hours to complete the job. Here are some pics of my install.

Hmmm. So, if I drive to Chicago, I could make a 4-5 hour pit stop and be back on the road? Lol

Someone else said Summit. Is that the best place to buy the kit from?

Sure, 4 - 5 hr pit stop would do it.

According to my recent search (2 weeks ago), Summit still has the best price on the kit.

Hey Andy, what ever happened with the spring mystery?
I spoke with Transgo support, he said "it not going to kill you if that spring was left in there". What it does it might make 4 - 5 gear shift a bit harder. Whew :big-smile:

Wow, valve body looking clean for the mileage!

All done. It took me two hours instead of the estimated 1-1.5 hr. Stupid bolts!
Stop by if you visit Chicago. 5 hours pit stop will make you shift with a big smile all the way home :smile (2):

You guys are the best!!!! I read this whole thread and now I am ready to get this kit. Handy Andy, Im from Philly and Im ready to take a ride up to you. LOL!!! Great information!!!!

Gotta question for you guys. My trani is throwing a check engine code P1759. When I start it up it shifts fine until it warms up. Then it jumps into safe mode, only operating in 3rd or 4th gear. Took it to the stealership and they told me after only pulling my dipstick that they smelt a hint of burnt transi fluid and i needed my trans replaced. Not trying to go that route, I took it to my mechanic. He dumped about a quart and inspected it. No metal, no nothing, good color. Then he topped it off with a quart of Lucas. He drove it, saw that it shifted properly until it safe mode was engaged. Does this sound like a busted sensor in the VB??? Need some real help guys. Thanks!!!!
