What kind of spacers? Are they not hub centric?
If the tires are wider or the offset is further out then any looseness would be amplified I went through this as well. Just needs tightening as long as its not an allignment or balance issueI didnt have that shake when I had the stock 20"s on but now that I have aftermarket 20"s I have the steering wheel shake at about 65/70 mph. WTH :1confused:

what would need tightening? I had the wheels balanced with that hunter force balancing and my tires are the pirelli scorpions and they are the standard size that come for the stock 20"sIf the tires are wider or the offset is further out then any looseness would be amplified I went through this as well. So, find anything that may cause the shaking?
Maybe ---here's the deal the tnsion adjuster has a flat two sided taper that sits around the rack when turned in the taper presses on the rack and as it is turned in it takes the side to side play out.If backed out too far (two or more turns) the adjuster or rack could turn so the steering gear is not meshed into the rack when tightened This sounds like why it may have been loose when you adjusted it.Did it turn in a ways when it was loose?so me taking out the bolt might of damaged the rack?
