Keep an eye on her, J!
Yeah it does sorta blow, but I was starting to get tired of the unfinished state of things. I'm glad it's back in to the shop so it can finally finish up.
Sharing the wife's Tahoe this week - might have to rent a car for a couple weeks to take the pressure off the fam.
... I would recommend the JWT TT kit to anybody wanting to take the FX to Forced Induction.
But know this - if you go with a kit like that, my FX will spank yours.![]()
haha, yeah, patience... think having to wait as a shop does a custom build is bad?, imagine trying to do it yourself in your spare time![]()
I learned to save about twice the money you THINK you will need (plus a bit more for "upgrades") and also plan on multiple shop stays. Having another DD or a spare car would have been the only thing I would do different the second time around.
That and going with a kit rather than a custom job. I'm not sorry I went custom but there was a lot of figuring things out and fixing small things that would have been addressed by a kit, saving all kinds of time and money. Knowing what I know now, I would recommend the JWT TT kit to anybody wanting to take the FX to Forced Induction.
1) I understood the stock ECU needs to be flashed first to higher the Rev limiter as otherwise the haltech can't do that function. Is that why you kept the osiris...??
2) Do you still run the OEM Final gearing...?? And how is your exeriance with that. I find our gears quit long and even with the RWD even longer. Shorter Final gears like 3.7 and 3.9 might be way to short for fast highway driving, but fun for traffic light sprints. What your opnion having driven the car.
3) you said the new radiator might not be needed but prior you said you had coolant issues......what is the status on that?
4) And how about your fuel......planning on going for bigger injectors...or staying with the GTRs?
even with a fully built motor?
do we have power numbers on yours yet
Just a question bro if you don't mind me asking.. What's the damage($$$) up to this point this custome build have done?
My motor is fully built already - capable of 650whp with the right turbo. Limitation is the transmission and the heavy FX drivetrain. We all have that - unless you do a manual swap.

$20K for parts, fabrication & labor. Took me three years to save up (and convince my wife this was the same as getting a new car). Nice part is - no car payment.
