What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Got rear tires and brakes installed. Also resurfaced the rear rotors. Will need to go back on Thursday for the front tires. Buddy who works at Subaru did all the work for me at his dealer.

So I changed my battery out for a RED top Optima. Lots of disassembly to get to the battery out. I like that they really protected the battery compartment.
One observation, the negative lead, where it connects to the chassis was covered in Blue junk, corrosion. I removed it from the chassis and found that the body paint was under it.......not a great contact point for a ground. I got out my dremel and removed the paint, and refinished the bronze? fastener.
I then put RTV over the whole pice to seal it up. I know now I have a great ground.

Maybe check your guys. My car is an 09.

Good job Terry. Did you find out anything about the sealer or sealant they say to apply when changing out the battery.

4 new feet...Yokohama Geolanders. Getting right rear wheel bearing replaced and rear wiper on Friday.

Give us a review on the Geolanders. For those of us who loves the Yokohama paradas; we may be looking at other options since paradas are being phased out.

Man that's pretty stupid to get rid of the paradas, those are the best tires I have bought.

Couldn't agree more. It is the best combination of performance wet and dry handling and low road noise. I went through many harsh NY winters without using a dedicated winter tires running on paradas. I guess the only complain if I have at all is that it does not last me that long compared to the other all season tires I had before. Not really a complain, I should say it is a trade off issue since most performance tires are of lower mileage life expectancy.

Lo and behold, introducing the replacement. Yokohama Parada Spec-2. Sadly though it is rated as summer tires not all-season. Still looks badass.
